family fortunes
i dismissed this one rather too quickly but, having looked at it again over the weekend, it strikes me as a clever piece of programming. although it is just another hangman game in a sparkly wrapper, there is a degree of sophistication to the gameplay.
we all know that the endgame offers the pennies first so you are going to need 6+ shots for any sort of meaningful prize. but when you have got six, you are going to carry on for seven, eight, nine and ten, the problem is, the questions get very much harder (rather the answers get shorter and more improbable) and invariably i screw it up.
so far i have not won a bean from it but it is a diversion and the elusive, transparent, gettable JP will mean i keep at it until i can get the ten shots. (because DOG is a top answer for something associated with snow when les dennis surveyed 100 people in the loony bin.)
having said this, there seem to be very few surveys so it is probably learnable without much exertion if you can be bothered with such things. also, it is so numbingly easy to get 30p or whatever that joe schmo will be able to keep it at %age.

Did Monkhouse ever present FF? I was always a fan of his. There's a few posters up around this way where he's posing in a 'Your country needs you' way - advising that cancer took his life, don't let it take yours (or something along those lines).
There are some laughably funny answers given by contestants though can't think of any examples now however...

Has it? I certainly haven't seen it disappearing from the ItBox 66s I see. However I do pay less and less attention to ItBox 66s - it's hard to remember a more calamitous drop off in game selection than those things have undergone in just one version number. I've said it before, and might say it again (but equally might pop up on here less and less) - if the current state of the three market leaders (those, Paragons and Gamesnets) is anything to go by, the game is well and truly up for anyone who plays SWPs for anything more than beer money.
