I do accept that as a retired semi-pro who now plays as much for pin money as anything I may have taken my finger off the pulse a bit.
I am told that they do. I guess QM, Grecian, Cool, Nil, etc, etc, etc could tell you for sure.
I'm not in the league of a number of players out there, but would join with others in being fairly confident that there are players who could empty an Open (e.g. take £100 or so out of it) within an hour or so. Personally, I'd be confident of taking £40+ out of a virgin Open within an hour or so, and there are players *much* better than I am out there.

opens dont hold £100 --money drops in but money in doesnt mean money out.........lucky to pay out £70.
if a machine has 100 games anybody on the forum (even anfield rd by legitimate means) could empty the machine its just a question of time.I use the blitzkrieg approach favoured by players like suri not the i have to squeeze every penny out of the machine approach(surprised some people dont come prepared and pitch up for the night a tent in the car park before renewing their assault the follpwing day).i spend generally 40mins tops in a pub unless im in learning mode when i spend considerably longer.

Thanks for the info Cool - most I've had out of an Open in one sitting is probably high 60s, which paid out fine; good thing I didn't stay any longer, by the sound of it.

I agree with you on the "blitzkrieg" approach by the way - play the games you like and get the low- to mid-hanging fruit and then move on...

OPEN's have a variable float.

You can set it as low as £30 or as much as £200 - its upto the owner/operator.

Im sure Daves in theory right but my playing experience suggests £70 is a good rule of thumb.

Hehe, I'm a bit surprised that Hell's Bells 2 is so unpopular, but the rest of that lot looks rightly in the lower reaches to me - especially the disgrace that is "Multiprize" TIOLI...!

Can't believe double vision does so badly, it's a different take on spot the difference which has always been succsessful. I always enjoy a bash at it but it's pretty rare to find one my way.

whiteswan wrote: Okay (and I am being serious here) - get a car full of people from this site and have a jolly boys outing to my pub - you'll have to buy your own dinner and drinks - but lets see if you can empty the machine.

I will be quite happy fpr you to play the machine until you empty it.

How's about it?

Dave
Dave,
Maybe if you floated it to the maximum, and offered a free lunch to any of the those boys taking £20 or more from the machine you may get them interested.

I can guarantee that if I played your machine I would definately, without a shadow of a doubt, help make you a profit; and I would be buying my own lunch :(
Oh, I'm so scared.
