You'll have let me know what you think of Wynn, that's where the wife wants to stay when we go back, either there or palms

That's great, Dave. Chaddy's a bit far for me for a day trip (and I'm actually veggie so the delicious pies would be wasted on me as well!) but I really mean it when I say it's always good to hear of a pub doing well the way the trade is going at the moment - we have all seen far too many boozers fall by the wayside in the last couple of years, or worse turned into SWP-free 'gastropubs' - am I the only one who judges pubs that used to have a quiz machine, and now don't, more harshly? - it always seems worse than never having had one in the first place...

strangely actually seeeing one or two pubs swap their SWP for an AWP including some places that previously got rid of the latter as license fee/ rental didn't justify the return.

That's exactly what I have done...........

Swapped a fruity and put my quizzer in its place.

I now have 1 £70 jp fruit machine - save myself over £100 a week in rental/license.....

Yet my share of the fruit machine money hasn't dropped at all - in fact its increased !

Its been madness since these £70 fruities were installed - the machines were taking nothing yet paying out fortunes (good news for the punters) -

My OPEN machine has escalated its take by over 100% - which is due to its position being where the other fruity was - much more people now play on it!

My guess is all the fruit machine players now only have one machine to play, so it gets played more. If you removed all beers/largers apart from one, then no doubt sales of that one larger would go up.

I would also guess that some of the extra money comming out of the £70 frutie is going into the OPEN machine, thus boosting it's takings.

How about a free Rag pudding for Fruitchater's visiting you? You could PM individuals with codewords so that they could claim a free Rag Pudding and chips when they visit.

On another note, I've never tried Rag Pudding, but I am keen to try it, so if you want I'll PM you my address and you can send me one, and I will review it for you?
Oh, I'm so scared.
