You have fifteen True or False questions where the first two or three questions get you one Pick and if you make it to the last five (i.e. get enough of them right) you get several more Picks. The only gimmick at this stage is that the questions and responses are animated to look as if they are written on a school notebook.
The Picks are used in an end game where you have something like 20 boxes to choose from. By the look of the five or so games I've tried this on in various locations, around 10 of the boxes will contain nothing and the others will contain prizes ranging from 10p to a massive Jackpot of ... £2. You'd hope that the prizes would be cumulative but they aren't so you spend 5 minutes of your life hoping for the undeniable thrill of possibly doubling your pound stake if you are lucky, although you are more likely to 'win' 35p (or nothing).
I would adapt the Brian Clough quote at this point, and say that this may not be the worst game I've ever seen but it's certainly in the top one, but sadly we've all seen so many stinkers that it's hard to be so definite. It's slightly easier to win your crap prize on this one than say on the similar Take It Or Leave It (the original game, not the better one based on the TV show) so I suppose that would have to be ahead of this one in the crap game stakes.
It wouldn't be so bad if one or two of the other new games were decent but they are all so poor that it seems like the games companies have lost all sight of what makes a good game.
Oh my goodness, that makes The Big Reds look really good. Thankyou for saving me £1. It's not so much the paltry £2 jackpot, it's the fact that I can 'win' 35p off a £1 stake that is the sickener.
I was seriously in a pub yesterday where the local in-breds were discussing in all seriousness which Shakespeare play Othello came from- I suppose given the educational standards of the ave person should have been amazed that they even knew it was Shakespeare. The pub didnt even have a fruit machine so they have yet been able to find the coinslot to educate themselves on the quizzer.
Should have told them Macbeth, they wouldnt have known any different.
I have played Box Clever which a bit of a deal or no deal rip off, i realy cant stand these games that give you shrapenel that when it accumalates it makes up the 30% payout mark and basically gives you nothing in return back. Avoid avoid avoid
