I thought Norwich was very nice when the wife and I visited on holiday a couple of years back. We had some good SWP results along the north Norfolk coast, but didn't play in Norwich itself if memory serves.
I remember when He-Who-Shall-Remain-Nameless was travelling all over doing Big Match, he identified Norwich as one of only three or four places where a local player had obviously reached JP-level competence on Big Match, so there's obviously at least someone there who's reasonable - maybe the same guy as the "Tournament King"?
