DOND (game show)

Post by Scott »

I'd heard lots about this on other forums but was out all day yesterday, i've got a bit bored of this show lately mainly because of listening to Noel drone on and on and his awful impressions of the banker that get on my nerves, but yesterday was the second time the 250 k has been won, it made it even more interesting because she took the bankers gambler, heres the vid.

Fair play to her for giving the 17.5 k back, the banker must be kicking himself.

Giving the £17.5k back was a no brainer, what can can you buy with that these days? Not a lot.

£250k is a life changing sum of money and in poker terms, she was getting more or less 14/1 her money. Well done and good luck to her.

Surely the offer was so low to induce the "gamble" so everbody is now talking about the show. £250k's worth of publicity. Who wouldn't gamble in the same situation ?

Another 250 win might revive interest in the show for a week or two, but what will happen after that?
Surely people are going to lose interest in it now a second person has reached the top of the mountain.
I gave up on the shw because I was sick of all the sob stories IMO stoppng them is only a small thing they could do to freshen the show up, but what else?

there would have been alot more 250k winners if they selected braver contestants, i suppose you'd like something to fall back on when down to 2 boxes though.there have been so many people bottle it only to find their lucky number would have paid out.
i feel sorry for that black chap (maurice?) a while go, he had 20k and 250k left ,turned down 100ish ,he had the bottle at least.

Morris.

He lives near me. You should have seen him in the weeks before his show went on air, he was running round town buying everybody drinks with his exclusive t-shirt on acting like he won a million pounds.
As soon as it went out he got very quiet, hardly see him at all these days.
Bet he got a few shags out of it though!!

Must be a nightmare decision to make.

One thing ive noticed is that whenever a player deals and ends up with a blue and a big red, the offer is always massive.. When they dont deal, the offer is always low..

good gag Lugsy, bit crass but i liked it.
the editing on that clip was pretty obvious, the sound engineer did a great job though with the subliminal heartbeat: good TV, manufactured entertainment.

agree about the sob stories and the fix and the free publicity and the undeniable crapness of the programme.
i was most interested by the guy with no chin who was on the clip. i bet he is a tosser.
nobody ever wins on those things.
