New games - opinions

Post by ROSSKEEN »

I've been out the country with work so havent played in ages.

Just spent an enjoyable evening in Dundee  catching up with friends in a Brewers Fayre-esque pub with a Paragon. Decided to play the newer games for some fun.

Trivia for Dummies 2. I can see the meeting of the programmers. "Hey guys lets take a perfectly good game, add some jazzy bookshelf graphics, stick the lifelines hidden in the top corner, and make it so much harder than before. Not one I'll be rushing to play again.

The Phrase That Pays. Cough cough-skill ball bingo rehash-cough cough.

Ultimate  Spot the Difference. Same pictures, different spin. Nice change.

Doctor Who - Never been a fan of Doctor who so wasnt willing to spend a nugget playing it.

Cash stacker (something like that) Won a fiver off this but its a pile of w**k. Same as those machines at the cinema where you can win a DS or digital camera by stacking blocks up "skillfully". If it was skill then the dedicated amongst us would be emptying both these and the cinema machines across the country. But we're not.

There were probably more but I can't really recall them. But well done to Paragon for removing WWTBAM-celebs and replacing it with this shit. The only game I could continually do well on - probably hence the reason its gone, becuase if I could do well on it, you guys must've destroyed it.
