Redundancy

Post by barneybear »

Unbelievable.

Made redundant for the second time this year. All this whilst living alone with Mortgage to pay and 7 month old daughter to look after.

The sooner this labour government are ousted the better. I also blame slack immigration laws.

In the meantime chaps, any free emptiers would be most welcome

Hope your all having better luck than i am at the moment!

Bullion Bars Slotto B3.

put in 4 quid, autoplay for the first three spins, press the gamcare logo, exit the gamcare screen and press autoplay again, next spin will be £500.

Unfortunately only works when machine is in demo mode.

Seriously though, sorry to hear about your circumstance, learn to cook, there's no shortage of chef's jobs going, not around here anyway.

you think life would be better for you as a single parent under the Tories. You're in a dream world.

I left school in Tory Britain and it was no picnic. Unemployment was far higher than it is now, schools and hospitals were in ruins and the recession under them was self inflicted, as opposed to a global one like now. Best people to sort it out are already in office.

And what the hell have immigration laws got to do with it?

I agree - I also went into the working world under a shambolic, sleaze-riddled Tory government and I feel far more stable under this Labour government than I ever did before 1997.

People jump on the government so quickly nowadays - but they never stop to think that it's only OK to change things if you've got a better alternative.

It should be noted that current Immigration guidelines are actually enabling a lot of businesses to remain in business these days, without controlled immigration they'd have folded a long time ago. And without them the economy would be in a far poorer state than it currently is.

I bet you would be whistling a different tune if Badger Darling had slapped some tax on gambling winnings?

guys, this is not http://www.cod-politicschat.co.uk ,
let's stick to what we know about.

if a politician tried to talk about AWP with any authority, we'd laugh at him.

Indeed it is. Carry on rambling guys, nice to read something at least remotely intelligble on here rather than petty squabbles over nothing.

Now where were we. Ah yes, the tories. All mouth and no trousers....like people say it's easy to slate what you've got, but remember what happened last time they got in. Empty promises, i'd still rather have Nu Labour running the gaffe. Yes they have their issues, but my god if got those plum mouthed toffs back in the box seat there'd be trouble..

serious comment: whatever your politics are, nobody else cares. we all feel for Barney if he has lost his job but to blindly blame it on red or blue is facile.

I'd like to register a slight flicker of surprise that some people seem uncomfortable with a political discussion, in a forum intended for not-necessarily-fruity related discussion ...
