Hmm

Post by bigv038 »

I JP'd my local clubber last sunday! (£150). I key it a couple of days later and its full again. :? So I'm thinking refill? or maybe some munter has done there bollox. I keep my eye on it the last few days with regualr key checks and a close on what go's down the back.
I go in today to be told it's been JP'd on Monday. Later tonight I key it again to see whats gone in since Monday and its £14 off :?
I'm either getting lied to and it didn't get JP'd or DP Leisure has suddenly just decided to re-float this. I've been going in for years and I have never known a m/c to get re-floated in there! The source who told me it got JP'd isn't a player and I find it hard to believe she would lie to me about it!
Thinking of just smashing it tommorrow and hoping for the best atleast I'll know where I am at again, as I usually keep on top of it.
Do you think it's too risky?

it's not too unreasonable for a clubber in alot of socials to get pumped back up so quick, one i had (b4 club shut coz of smoking ban)could be ready again late next day sometimes,it was only 100 though, and used to get punted by fools taking small wins all the time,at one time me and a mate were dropping it 2 or even 3 times in a week, the old boys did moan sometimes but never stopped us.
if you know your clubber inside out ,you should be able to tell if it's worth going for vince.
150 can take a fortune down the back ,as you know, so you'd definitely want to know if it had taken a load already .

Tuppenny - It gets played by people collecting the £1's and that so it's only me who forces it.
I could understand it could have been pumped if it was a weekend but other than the Monday and Thursday pool nights I can't see where that kinda amount could have gone back through it. :?

yeh some socials are like that, although many do have big pumpers which will always dry the value up, as they will go for it regardless of cost. Stuff like jpm's are usually played by locals when they are due spins/jp, stuff like red hot 6 etc. is usually forced by locals every other week or so. This is not always the case though. Bigdeal or dragon doesnt seem to entice the big pumpers so often worth a push.

Big Deal..??? Is this the Barcrest machine which looks a bit like the old SuperBlackjack - but probably is no way near as good as that. Never played one but someone told me its only worth playing for spins unless the jackie's due. Its got a gamble as well hasn't it? Anyone know if its separate to getting a jackie up the hi-lo or if anyone's actually had a gamble and if so how much? The old SuperBJ was class... Cashpot, Top and gamble...happy days :D

Big deal?

If that's the machine i'm thinking of it's all aout the gamble.... fat machines. Reglass called Elvis too. *1.5, *1.5, *1.5, *2, *1.5, *1.5 Jackpot. On the early chips you could transfer the money from the jackpot over and it would still gamble up. Used to be one in my local casino, did it every other night then it went for a £4000 bag of shit.

indeed, no need to do the *1.5 though, I prefered to do *3 ie. on £80-83 so it won't leave you needing to part bank anything to get the remainder of the £250, which it often then lost on the *1.5 for the extra you needed. Ie. say you get to £200 it part banks £100 and makes you gamble the other £100 *1.5, this can easily lose.

Turns out it did get done - I took the safe option and didn't take it on. It still hasn't been JP'd now! Good decision it seems :)
