Nope Matt- it was a pub in the square mile which are absolutely dead after 7pm on a Monday and there was only me and the players in there with the staff champing at the bit to close up shop- once I had finished my pint I thought f8ck this. Was sat to far away to see properly but from what I could see I couldnt discern a strategy- they played through about three or four boards without any obvious success.
That sounds like Johnny Wong.Northern Monkey wrote:They have this in one of my regular drinking haunts- a chinese player came in for it last night at last orders with his mate who I couldnt see what looked like due to his baseball cap being pulled so low down over his face- half a lager between them and the pub completely empty- talk about subtle.

Ah, gotcha...
Heh, I remember a Chinese lad and a caucasian guy that used to be about in the days of The Great Escape, etc.
"Chang and Bujo" a friend of mine named them, for a reason unkown to anyone apart from himself. I thought however, that it had quite a good ring to it.

Well actually yeah the other guy was Caucasian but not seen them round here before and you spot a lot of players around doing the usual suspects - thing was they knew what they had come for - barely broke stride on the way through to the back of the pub and didnt even give the other machine a sideways glance

That just adds more to the feeling I have that there is something on this one. Not from any experience, but just from the nature of postings on here. When certain people go quiet, etc.
Worryingly though, as this is one of the first to have the Note Payout featurette, I imagine if something 'is' going on, it's not going to be on the right side of the law...
