Super nudge gambler

Hi guys, hope someone can help.

I've got Super Nudge Gambler (The 1989 Coral Haze version) I've not used it in a few months and now when I switch it on the hold lights don't work properly and the credit readout doesn't work at all. If I leave it on the lights flash randomly and sometimes shine really brightly. The machine plays and pays out ok though.

Is it coincidence or has the motherboard got a battery on it that might have gone with it not being on for a while (I know from the CNC machines at work that he motherboard batteries drain if not switched on for a while).

Any ideas??
