need help with error codes

hi there im new to this i have a pink panther 35 pound jackpot machine but i have a error on the lcd bit it says pay err 17 i dnt have a clue what that means can some one help

error 17 denotes a hopper problem,
either:

1: hopper opto blocked or dirty (clean or remove blockage)
2: faulty hopper (replace hopper)
3: hopper disconnected (make sure every thing is plugged in, the hopper tray will be removable so will be a connector or plug)
4: faulty mother board (unusual, but not unheard of)

hi there i have looked to see if the hopper is blocked and dirty but there is no sign of that im not even sure if theres power going to it tbh

Check the hopper can spin correctly and easily (you can move it around with your fingers and a little pressure), but otherwise. This error is mainly encountered where I work when it's a paring problem.

All you do, is turn off the mains for the machine. Unplug the hopper & hold it upside down for a few seconds, re-connect all the leads and power back on. This error should be resolved
