1st post so hi

Just bought Caribbean cash from a mate and it has error 17 which is a hopper problem
Now I've tried using refill key and clearing the hopper out but I'm not sure about the refill
Procedure? I did go into the menus and clocked on refill then hit the switch on the hopper
Which made a loud beeping noise said it was done
input about £20 right into the hopper but then
Read on the hopper something about fill via green tube? And matrix says
£1 x 0 so I guess it doesn't know I'm trying to fill it and thinks the hopper
Is empty?
Don't get it, as soon as I close the front error 17 right after you turn power back on
The hopper has no jammed coins and is a switch type but I've never seen the thing spin
Multimeter shows voltage in wiring.

£1 x 0 means your hopper is full. The number is the coins needed to get to the full level. If it pays out £15, it'll now say £1 x 15 etc
You need to disconnect all wiring to hopper (simple plug in wires they are) tip the coins out the hopper and see if there's a blockage. Chances are you'll see a pound coin wedged sideways in one of the holes where the base of the hopper spins. Remove blockage and reboot.

after checking ya hopper, put back in,then close all doors, power on,and hopefully no alarm.then use your refill key, turn to right and mesg on alphanumeric screen should say-"refill coins" press flashing start button, then insert coins via normal coin entry and your screen should read how many coins your putting in and your hopper will know its got coins in. when youve put your amount in you want, just take refill key out and you should be good to go. dont open top door and press hopper topped up button, else the hopper will think its full, when you may only have put 20quid in,itll think its got 125quid in it

Thanks guys unplugged hopper no blockage can turn the
Wheel by hand no probs, reboot still error 17
If I leave the front cover open and cancel out I get £5.00 credit
Without putting any money in, is that some sort of demo test mode?
I haven't got a manual which is annoying

Give it a full service?

How do I dump the hopper as it thinks it's full?

put one coin in the hopper and spin it by hand, see if the hopper spits it out or gets blocked
have you took the hopper right out and checked the plug and opto's?
PS
its doesn't matter what the hopper level is in the machine, the machine will try to pay it out.
i wouldn't worry about hopper top-up procedures and refils at this stage..

If I turn it clockwise it jams and anti clock
Chicks it out the back

I unplugged it and took the coins out
There are two red switches I think they
Are as you look through the holes
Didn't strip the hopper down though
Couldn't see how to be honest, I find downgrading ps3 easier haha

those aren't switches..

thats what throws the coins out, they are like spring loaded paddles, if u pull them to the left they should spring back to the right.
turn the hopper until a coin passes through them and see if they spring back and flick the coin out.
the opto sensors are just above them, there are 4 in total..
