Is this possible?!?

I popped into W Hill's the other day to kill a bit of time whilst waiting for a train, and had a go on one of their new Sec 16 games - Deep Sea Adventure.
I never play the £500's, however try the new ones out as im sure they are on a higher % when they first bring a new game out.
Anyway, after not a great deal in, i got x3 fishes for winspins.
I got about 12 spins, and thought lovely, this has'nt cost much.
To cut a long story short, i played the 12 winspins and did'nt win a penny!?! It just said 'better luck next time'. I thought wtf!?!?
Is this actually legal/possible etc?

It'll have been free spins not win spins, perfectly legal.
There's a megabars or something like that. which gives 50 spins for fuck all or maybe 1 win.

I got the free spins and it gave me a measly £13 off 30 spins. You then have to pick a shell once the spins finish which is multiplier.Luckily I got x10 so got over a ton.

I saw my mate get five safes in when playing Cops 'n Robbers on £2 stake.
It awarded him 31 freespins and I did think about spitting at him 'cos I was jealous. However, it only gave him £15 and so the evil-eyed cunt that that resides in all of us came to the surface and I did have a chuckle!

probably pre-determined.. so whatever you'd done, you won £130
