Sega CD thingy...

Post by WaterGate »

I've had quite a few consoles in my time, but I seem to remember having a Sega console of some type with a CD rom drive built in and playing a game with video footage. I remember aliens i red suits or something jumping out and you had to shoot them with a gun?? Or it may have been using the controller? I can't remember but I know I didnt have the console for long; I wasn't that old. Does anyone remember the console or the game?

A haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Yes! After you mentioned the console name, of which I couldnt remember at the time, I searched for ages to find this game. Obviously I don't remember too many elements in the game from my description, but once I'd seen it I knew it was this one. Ha! Brill!

Must have just been the laser guns that made me remember that it was aliens involved; but only loosely in the game really. If I also recollect at the time the original 'V' was on the TV and that scared the be-jebus out of me and I think it's all rolled into one as I remembered them having red uniforms with black leather armour ( as in 'V' ).

just a snippet to add to this

the sega mega-cd was an add on for the megadrive , that didn't really add much technically to the specs of its host machine ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but what it did add was freedom from the restraints of cartridge memory .

so the developers decided to make games but with loads of added fmv , cut scenes , etc .

the most popular game was night trap ,,,,,,,,,,,,, it was a bunch of teenage girls having a sleep over ,,,,,,,,,, wearing very little ,,,,,,,, (in an attemp to sell the doomed machine to teenage boy's) ,,,,,,,, the object was to monitor rooms via security cams and set traps for intruders etc ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it was crap ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but the concept of scantily clad girls on our console had the required draw.

and the main star of the game was kimberly from different strokes ,,,,,,,,,,,,, remember her everyone ? ''whatc u talkin bout trayhop''

after different strokes she rebelled from the wholesome tv image ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, went in to hard core porn and died of a drug overdose .

so erm ,,,,,,,,, yeah ,,,,,,,, now ya know :?
