Does anyone from here enter any tourneys?

Me and few mates often enter in them, usually the Richo Casino in coventry (which i might add is quite amazing in side) on ever other saturday.

20 quid buy in, and no re-buys.

Best i've done is come 2nd!

I've played a few in casinos... from my experience, when you get down to the last few, everybody seems to do a deal. I've "won" a couple, but only by virtue of having the most chips - not by actually winning all the chips.

yeah that is the case usually for the last table, take some money of place 1 and 2 and share it out..

A lot of the time i play i just play for fun i.e don't go there looking to win? if that makes sense, find it rather relaxing sometimes :P

Me too. One thing that kinda annoys me is the "pros" at the table who trash-talk. Now obviously that is part of the psychology of the game and I'm not talking about when you flukily outdraw them with a shite hand. But why do some people insist on telling you how bad you are at poker after they've beaten you... what kind of incentive is that for "shite players" to come back?

Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham had a "No Deals"
Not sure if that's still the case.
Personally I've always refused deals.
If I ever make a WPT final table and there's a flattening of the prize structure by the players maybe I'll reconsider, but for a couple of hundred quid difference I'm not dealing.

I used to play in four live tourneys a week, but haven't been for ages.
I really must get back to the tables.

I went a tourney in leicester and heard how good dusk till dawn is in nottingham, need to get myself up there!

And yeah i know what you mean about how some people are towards others.

Me myself raised once with 7-2, hit 77Q on flop, then followed a 2.

Other player had A-Q, and lets just say he wasn't very pleasant with words after he got knocked out by a pre-flop raise with 7-2! (Seen no action for a while, and felt like raising a bit! - it's only fun :P)
