Jackpot S'n'G

Post by JG »

Hello.

I have noticed that here on the i-poker network there exists a phenomenon known as the jackpot sit and go.

Let me explain if you are unaware.

It's a standard 6/10 player stt with top three places paid.

Here is the twist though. If you can win 5* consecutive 1st places in a row, you are paid a jackpot.

I am currently in a 10 player, $5 tournament that pays $71,000 for five consecutive 1st places and also $200 for 5*consecutive top two places.

I've just got aces actually, could be like a Bucks Bunny showing red, might be due the $71,000 hold on......under the gun........5/10, flat called, raised to 65 (1000 stacks start, I was just under) by mid position, I reraise to 180, called. Comes Ks, 8s, 3c. I've bet out 200, they folded.

Now it's a 20% buy in fee as a pose to 10%, so I've had to pay one dollar as a pose to 50 cents for the mathematically challenged amongst you.

That sounded patronising. Sorry.

Anyhow, here I am with my 1,115 stack now, BANG on course for that $71,000 big board.

I'm still thinking.

Essentially each player pays 50 cents, sticking with this example, for the potential of a jackpot win. That is $5 extra they (Hills) get per game.

If everyone were of equal ability and thereby making it THE LEAST likely field in which a jackpot could be won, then the odds of paying out a jackpot to one of those players is 10*10*10*10*10-1 or 100,000 to 1, so you'll pay $500,000 per jackpot win.

Queens now, under gun again, all folded to my preflop *3BB raise.

AK in BB next hand!!! Hold on.

Short stack in with TJ, my AK holds up for an 890 pot.

AQ now, hmmmmm. Going to flat call in SB, diamonds on board k8q. Fourth diamond with acem betting for value......., massive raise, I have to fold. Stack at 1400.

Back on topic, we know that real poker doesn't work like that. Also I'm not sure my logic is correct.

Every game will generate a winner. The odds on that winner going on to make 4 more wins is 10,000-1, or $50,000 in extra rake plus the initial $5 rake from first game.

That means over 100% payout surely?

Even if it is the first scenario, surely this is so open to mass collusions, or fish vs one very good player scenarios, greatly redusing the odds.

My question is, how can they afford to offer something like this?

That $71,000 may well be progressive I grant you. Probably starts a lot lower, however surely collusion is a big buzzword here. A syndicate of 10+mates all at different addresses etc ect

Any ideas? Clues? Emptiers?

Is it rigged even to 'block' the jackpot when it's not ready to pay. Is there a super cold deck that comes into play on your fifth game. Doctored boards hmmm?

All input greatfully received.

JG here.

Big board! Big board!

The cards could not have been nicer, I bruised and cruised my way to the top. A massive 25 Americanised sheets! Get in there sports fans!

Just like winning a bronze pot with specially lowered suspension, the equivalent was 16 sheets (standard English sheets) and 46 of the Queen's pencii, pences, pence, yeah pence, but I did have to pay £3.97 decimalised sheets to get there.

To be honest it's not surprising. To get here I had to battle against MILLIONS of other sperms to reach that egg. Most of my opponents were just artificial shill bot rig out props set to pay out mode, so it's not surprising I won to be honest.

Anyway I got to that egg with ease, and look at me now, carving up these $5 stts like Phil Helmans. Ahem. Cough. Helmuth.

So four more wins and I'm a multi $35,500 aire or $71,000 richer.

Only four more wins, or will it do four wins and then mug me off? That'd still be a 52 £sheet raise.

Anyway, may the next four replies be from myself to myself. Here's to myself, wishing myself GOOD LUCK!

Also as a special election promise, if I do win that $71,000, I will baptise one of my saucepans in a very special way and post the photo up here.

BLOOP! and out.

100,000 players play 5 $5 + $1 games. (50000 games)

Total stake = $3,000,000

Normal payout x 50,000 x $50 ($25,15,10) = $2,500,000

Jackpot payout = one winner x $73,000

Consolation = 50,0000 games x (1/5 x 1/5 x 1/5 x 1/5 x 1/5) - 1 x $200 = $31,8000

payout = $2,605,000

This is about 15% rake, assuming people are similar playing standard.
Roulette free since December 2011.

Your welcome JG . It has been tried before by people the collusion way and it didnt work. To give you an idea how rigged the site is, i was playing a 3,000 speed rebuy the other day and getting bored with the poor hands being dealt had a punt on the desert treasure and aztec machines under the casino section. left aztec up. had a few good hads on the rebuy , bumped upto 32,000 on the table whilst most were on 2-5 grand . went back to desert treasure 2 pound a spin , here comes the rigged part, the reels spun in 5 wild symbols across the middle line. (big win) then screen twitched and the 1st and 2nd wild symbols drop out of view so then no win. I gave william hill good piece of my mind , just wish i had my phone recording it for proof to really take william hill........ conclusion WILLIAM HILL RIGGED BEYOND BELIEF.

Jackpot See and Go is really a very unique jackpot which I have ever heard about it. I think this jackpot will be very tough to play for a low experience players. Its very unique so making win will be very difficult.
