Sounds about right to be honest.

I always wondered how hard would it be to get a group of you on the same cash table and chat between yourselves on Facebook chat or MSN?

Trust no-one.......I still love the game though.

Only surprising thing is that people are surprised by this "revelation".

If anyone's on-line now, there's a very interesting programme on BBC Radio 5-live about this '5 Live Investigates'. Might be on iplayer too.

This is a much bigger problem live than online.
Soft play / collusion / "same village" as it's called, happens in every single card room in the world.
That's a fact.
It also happens on an accidental subconsious level too. Players become friendly with strangers at the table and end up altering their style against each other.
An old bit of advice in Super System I think it was, said "Make friends to your right and make war to your left"

a team of half a dozen players in a live tourney with 100 players will have a much bigger influence than a team of half a dozen players in an online tourney with 1000+ runners.

It is cheating, but if you're playing good poker, you're still minimising the effect teams have on you.

Well obviously everyone folds and I'm stuck there with 7,7 knowing if I fold I'm all-in next hand with possible/probable junk. Three players are already out and two behind have less chips than me but I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. If s/he never opened his/her trap they may have pushed and I have an easy choice of folding hoping they get KO'd. Well in the end my full house ended up being beaten by quad aces!!!!! Pretty sick lol.

But would anyone lodge a complain of sorts??? Surely this fucker colluded with the table to get me out of the game therefore I was beaten unfairly? I think I should be compenstated to be honest. One things for sure if it happened in a casino he'd be hospitalised at best.

Disgraceful play and yes PP, I know I should never have been in that situation lol, but the cards have been well and truly against me for the last 48 hours or so.

No that is NOT ok.

You can not chat UNLESS you have a hand, and it's head up.

All other chat (without a hand, or when there are more than 2 people in the pot) is NOT allowed.

You should complain.

You still lose the hand.

But the player with AA should get a warning, explained the rule, and maybe have to sit out an orbit.

This should teach them the correct rules.

Doesn't help you this time.

But at least the other players all learn from this players mistake.

Otherwise if allowed to chat this will create angles, collusion, and give away unfair inofmation.
