whats the odds

Post by Stevie S »

getting to the 35 and winning the gamble to the top? would it be like 80% of the time it would give it or is it impossible to say? does it depend on wht number you have or how it got you up there in the first place.

dont play reds, dont play the fruits anymore really but put £2 in a Break The Bank - 12 nudges - £25 on a 12 lower for £35 and a 10 for hi/low.

I took the £35!

It did play on my mind that i should of just gone for it but it was still a decent profit and didnt want to get involved.

Impossible to say really, i'd hazard and say that more than 50% of them will win, but it depends entirely on what the machine fancies doing. Clearly if its red it should have abetter than average chance of winning, but doesn't always mean it will. Suppose if you were peanuts in it was better to collect and run if you aren't a big time player - I'd have bashed it lower of course (and probably lost, and got knee deep involved :wink :)

cheers Matt, thought i definatly missed out by not having the balls to hit the lower but suppose nothings ever guaranteed and £33 profit is still £33 profit, just was not sure how most reds would play in that situation.

Curiousity would have got the better of me too and I would have had to have bashed it :P Could have gone large but £33 profit is still happy.

It would kill you 100% of the time if it didn't want you to get to the 35 in the first place. I.e. if the 12 was a mistake on the machines part.

Did you get anything else playing on? If not you did the right thing.

Dont get why people obsess over getting the top on reds, if its gonna repeat it will roll off collecting the pot anyway.

Had that very situation on a mummy not long back for a bonus £25 after a £70 top, i was only playing off the remaining credits, finished it off nicely, it was the medium speed one.

I stuck a few quid in an Indy when at the bowling alley the other day... treble bars spin in for £10. It's on an 11, so I think f**k it - and guess what, 12 comes up.

Then, it lets me hold the treble bars after losing - and I've got a 12 on the hi-lo, so the £10 then becomes £15. What was the point of that!

Ive read posts on here over time about losing the gamble for the top and it costing a fair few quid for it to go, by that time the top could possibly have left me with the same profit if i had taken the £35 in the first place or could have rolled £140. Still £33 profit for 10 seconds work! its all good.

one of the lads took red stop n step last night, seems incredibly easy to hit that £25! he managed to fook it up though.

I've never had too much trouble on the £35 ---> Top gamble on Reds. It's getting past those blocks that can be the problem. Stating the obvious there, of course! ;)

I think the most times that I've lost on the £35 gamble, it has been a Mummy, but it's usually gone straight back up there within a board or two...
