Played this last night in a major pub chain who float their machines randomly. Now, as I've heard off a few folk, this likes to block at £5, + you take wins rather than the force, played 50p MegaSpins, got 12 nudges for £15. Collected, rather than forced, and took a few more small wins, £10 in for £28 out. Did I make the right choice, or should I have forced from £15?

You made the wrong choice by putting £1 in it!

I know you don't listen to a word I say Jeff, not that I'm bothered, but I mentioned in another CLT thread this isn't a machine to force. I found this m/c tended to give decent cash wins pretty frequently along with red features although, it has a habit of lighting up like a Christmas tree. Maybe I kept getting lucky but I found another yesterday which played the same way, so maybe it wasn't luck.
As for the £5 block, the CLT I regularly played had a massive block at £10, plus it very rarely gave 3 red helmets.

Much bigger £10 block than at £5. Same as SMTM for chucking in stupid numbers. 1 thing that seems different is that it doesn't block the top from £35 like SMTM.

I've never had a problem with it, if its there and its taken a bit to go in you usually just get a bigger streak. Forced at least 10 times on here and only once really been done on it. Just get stuck in.

"it very rarely gave 3 red helmets"
Might want to pop down to the surgery if it does...
I want to try one of these new Reds, even if they aren't as good as the older breed. I'm getting left behind now!

I would force from this point, you know if it is offering £15 then it is not hammered so in theory will not take that long to go. It can block rigid at £10 but once through you should be looking at a decent top.

it depends on weather the £15 comes back. the one that it throws in once and then disappears is the equivalent of a 'board jackpot' board on older reds, and means that it is usually at least £30 from giving the top/streaking. unless you get it on that climb, in which case it just wont streak.
to give an example, a CLT i was playing last week, first board £7 and offers red hidden riches. after bout £30 in it gave a £15 from nudges that didnt come back. it ended up costing £60 to go red, and £115 to give up the first top

See your point Kai, it is the same with any red, but if it comes back then you should be on. If you collect it you will never know. Been ok on them so far.

I have got one of these that has been sweet everytime i gone to it then found another one the other day that was red from the off(100% definetely red) but it cost around 100 for a top went 70 then werent red no more?!?!?!?! seems soo hard to milk these though as they cost soo much for boards.

ironically, that one i was talking about did the same thing gary. would have lost the same amount if i had walked when it went reds.

Well I reckon those that have won have been lucky because I think that's more likely than me being massively unlucky.
As mentioned before on this the first one I ever played full and ARB1 I put £275 through and walked off with something just shy of £100.
Had similar although not as big losses since (£60s)
And was going to just never play one again until on Sat night in a really busy bar it was about £40 off - note changer, and the machine before this (COB) was normally around £100 off when ready.
Anyway had a few quid - spinning in £15's so went for it and it cost me about £100 for £35 (was constantly gambling past the £15 to £25 but everytime was on a crap number for the next gamble) then took loads back for another £35.
Ended up £170 in and left it £24 out.
It was flat dead no top was more than £35 then started killing me on everything. Would gamble to £7 but that was it.
Anyway bank holiday weekend n all so I went back Sunday afternoon and it was £19 off. Went for it again after barely taking anything out on Sat and lost another £60 on it.
Have won once or twice on these but it always cost around £70 min and is usually flat £35.
Have even tried collecting the £35 then going for a top and it does the same - takes it all back and another £30 odd quid for another flat £35.
If I'm damn lucky it may go for a rare £70 and I'd be even.
And I'm playing machines in pubs where machines get a ridiculous amount of play and they are always near full and not daily refill.
I really think you've been lucky boys so be careful.
