Went on a top giza yesterday redding from the start.
Got random stopper for green lines £20 in. Let it time out for SnS (aahhh if only they still did, lol)
Then next board same again and walked.
about £30 profit with minimal effort. I miss the old reds. Especially pay chqeue.

Nice one!
That particular period of Reds production was the best for me, and I'm sure, many others.
Top Giza: Loved doing the £75 top once a week on the one I had local. So easy to read, none of that 'fake redding' business there.
Snail Blazer: Probably the best of the 'cludged fruits' Reds. Again, on the same playing session as Top Giza, I used to make a good profit on this. I'd say it is still the machine on which I've had the most tops from getting all the features red. If it was ARB1, it'd pretty much 95%+ give you that last green one if you gambled.
DNA: What can I say? The 'squeaks' of the red exchanges appearing, shortly followed by a nice series of 'Gimme 5!'.
X-Rated: I'm not sure if I put this just above or just below DNA. There was the difference of being able to pot it from NR (red sevens = £25) which would only yield £15 on DNA, but then it also seemed a touch tighter because of it. This used to do £25 followed by a £50 or vice versa.
Rocket Money: I wasn't as much of a fan of this one as Top Giza, although it was essentially the same machine - it was just always slightly less forgiving on the hi/lo gambles.
Of course, to even out the good, there has to be some poorer units produced. In this case though, I can't quite balance the argument, as I can only think of one off the top of my head:
Dragon Drop: Painstaking safe cash wins 'most boards'. Even the bonus gamble functionality would usually yield safe cash open and then death. Followed by a £1 being added to your bank. Could do a nice little streak if caught right, but ultimately, very unreliable.

If we're talking pure profit I preferred the early £35/50p (+6%) conversions such as Invincible, OAR and Cash point.

Ah, on a pure profit factor, I'd have to agree with MM!

Snailblazers were awesome.
The number 1 reason? Jackpot = top feature. Don't think any other red had that did it? Or am I having a mental block?
But top giza / pay cheque / crazy cobra etc just send them red - easy. Decent profit or at worst kinda break even.
None of this losing business like the £35'ers do...

Heh. Despite it not being a word, I know exactly what you mean!

I'm often known for being a bit of a neologist...
Although, I'm sure I remember seeing this 'word' used on the Red website (old edition)?
It certainly sounds lumpy enough to mean: grouped together...

I have X-rated at home set at 78%. So much more playable than some so called 78% units in the wild. I should have set it at 70% to get a True feel. I don't have any of these in the Wild now. (Not on £25 of course)

.. which made it the only Red where you could get the top feature from the position 4 bonus, ie. Number Runner.
Beautiful stuff.

MattB / Nixxy: Yep, like I mentioned in my post.

Although I found this made it slightly more rare to offer you NR.
I think that X-Rated was one of the only machines where I found occaisionally the need to take 'Boost' from a slow down board bonus would get you the top. I think it was where I was on nudges at the exchange point to a tenner, had a no lose on a 10Bonus. The exchange then gave me another bonus, which hup-hummed. No bonus would guarantee me the two gambles, so I 'boosted' to the £15, for a no lose for the top! Funny how we (well, I know I do!) almost always ignore boost when we have a slow down board bonus, but good to know it at least had one use!
