I was really getting to the end of my wick with a FNC here today. 50p +6% £25 JP. I'd left it £71 off 3 days ago after rolling it for a little bit, and today it was only £2 off. £15 skill which died straight away, and hi/lo'ed up to £15 straight away too. Red after £20 in. Quids in i thought. Well, never have i seen such shit numbers keep on coming in. 6 especially, just thrown in anywhere on £10/£15/£20/£25. Random deaths anywhere, no climbing up the nudge trail or anything. By the time i'd finally got a top i was about £130 in. Flat £25. Rechased, another £30 odd in for another flat. This was followed straight after by another £25. So i'm at almost £140 in now for a bank of £40 odd. A 1'er down. Clearly still red, this time it finally relented and did the biggie. Every amount gone, and an £85. Not good though, as i'm still down. Next 1 nudge board is still all red though. Doesn't go in. Another £20 death is followed by an ARB1 which i turned all red for another £25. The next board was still glowing, and a well worked £20 NR went up for a surprising £50. After this the boards were back green as green can be, took a £4 safe series and scarpered with a profit somehow. A roll of £25/£25/£25/£85/£25/£50 had saved the day. why couldn't it have been a simple £30 for £75/£85 job like it usually is on the machine! Persistence did pay off this time. 8)

The newer reds are even worse for doing this from time to time
Cash or Bust as an example

£240 in for first top £35

In the end the roll was something like
£35/£35/£70/£70/£105
It just wastes time and pisses you off

Tbh Matt FNC is not a fave of mine
But it can happen on any red

yup stopped at a pub the other day on GamesTec, could not really be arsed but though its due a change!

Anyway it was an Invicible and it was £70 off but had a changer so I tried it and it was through the £5 and redding off £30 then it took £130 to give a £35 then a £20 to give a £35, obviously still redding and then it went for a £70 and though thats OK! then it was still red and gave a £70 off £10 through NR!

Its all about perstistance as they hold out for theese runs every no and again, usually when they are just getting forced all the time so they can stick to the %.

Well I think its something like that im just guessing

I completely agree with all that ..

I must admit I think FNC on £25 JP is better than on £35 - it doesn't seem to lead you up the garden path quite as much. Yet it can still play exactly as Matt describes - and does your head in!

i'm the opposite too that nixxy, i have had a £25 FNC play like mattb describes a few times [the only difference being i did'nt get the same large streak he did too get me out the shit] but i've never really had a £35 one play up this bad, i was always a bit cautious with the £35ers after reading on here how badly people rated them, but i've always found them too be fine when pushed from the right point, maybe i've been lucky.

Had a strange experiance on a Vortex yesterday. Wasn't showing from the start but after £30 in was showing good signs, took another £15 to get a flat £35 then a few quid later another flat. I thought that was it so after taking a toggle and another fiver (showing no signs) imagine my surprise when it completed the name, on the second attempt, and went for £70!

Sometimes they can just surprise you. You did well to make a profit in the end Matt.

Had a nice result on a Piggy Bank last Friday. I only had a bit of change on me, and it was early in the day, so didn't want to get too heavily involved. Anyway, put about £4 in and got offered green Hoggle Climb, which I knew was £5/£7/£10, so profit any way.

It hadn't looked like much was going on, so took this, and went and sat and had a pint and a read of the paper. A fella popped over to it and rolled a tenner through it, collected nothing, downed his pint and left the pub. I thought that a another bit of profit should be available now, so rolled over with my £10 and played away.

First board was 12 nudges and a tenner was there, on a 12! From there, I won all the gambles to the top for a flat £35. Nothing spectacular, but from initially £4, this was looking like a good start to the day. I played on, and that first £35 had opened up the Arbage floodgates!

£15 later and the top went for £105!

I certainly think that the £35 machines streak better than the older £25 relations. £75 was usually the max on the older ones, be it a straight £75, or a staggered one. But with the £35 editions, £140 and even £175 is not impossible in a staggered streak.

As for FNC - it's not one of my favourite Reds, but it's had it's moments, on both £25 / £35 varieties. One particularly eventful session was had on a £35, which gave me 9x consecutive Toggle Cash features (a smattering of red / green) for £90! With only £30 in. I guess the top would've gone big, but this was a more unique route of cleaning up!

I haven't personally ever experienced a major block on these after the £10, even though there's often talk about collecting the JP before going for the top. There is, however, one nasty one near me where the 50p play button has been nadgered by someone (possibly purposely?) and it's just a tight bugger, which I don't bother with... ;)
