I've just had a look on the 'Links' area but there was no sign of it, so it must be on test. Its called COPPA LOADA THIS I think! I was playing it no more 3 hours ago and forgotten its full name.

Anyway its based on FNC but with a Police theme, hence the word Coppa in its name. It has the usual cash values, features, hidden features, 30p/50p x1/2/4 numbers but the new feature is how you get on the board initially.

Now you'll have to bear with me cause I'm not the best at explaining things. As we all know, when you play 50p/x4 numbers there is a MSpin at 12 o'clock, 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock. On this m/c there are only MSpin at 12 and 6 o'clock and if you land on the left handside of the oval you get a blue helmet, if you land on the right handside you get a red helmet. You have to get 3 of one colour or 3 of the other, not mixed, but you could have 2 red hit a blue then you have 1 blue hit a blue then a red and so on. Then you could have 2 red helmets and hit a MSpin, obviously the reels spin and if you get numbers you're on the board, if you don't you carry on as you were trying for helmets.

The bonuses seemed to be okay, I only ever failed to get on the board once and most it cost for a board was £11. Unfortunately it seemed to give me the same bonus quite alot and I never got a skill bonus once. I couldn't tell whether or not there was any difference between red/blue bonuses even though my girlfiend (not a typo  ) says you have more ARB 1/2/3 boards with red helmets.

Now for the gameplay. I wasn't really allowed to force it as I'd just put £90 in a vortex for £105. So I played it for features and it seemed pretty generous, I was scared of killing it but it never really took the pi$$. I put in around £80 and took £93. Profit whilst testing the water. :D

A few more of these and a few less S&L and maybe one or two Cash or Busts would be nice as my nice friendly Vortex has been replaced wth a Big Reds..........oh and what m/c is next to that a bloody WoW. Dear me.

OK, I found one of these today. It was called 'Copper Loada This'.

It's definitely not based on FNC though, it was a direct clone of SMTM except for the different feature entry. The profile seemed identical. All they seem to be doing at the moment is tinkering with the pre-game gamble.

1 - 12 nudge trail, same cash trail, exactly the same features as SMTM laid out in the same positions. They aren't 'helmets', they're sirens! And of course they're either blue (normal) or red (super).

Pre-game gamble has MegaSpin at 12 and 6 o'clock as described above, and if you miss left a blue siren lights; missing right cancels all previous blues and lights a red siren. There didn't seem to be any difference in the quality of the Super Bonus subsequently awarded whether you lit 3 blue OR red sirens. The bonuses were all trail position based - 'Super Choose' seemed to be awarded most often, where the reels spin to a position and you have a certain number of nudges up the right hand side, it gave 4 or 5 potential starting positions. When the machine got a bit happier, it began to award 'Spin a Win', 'Reel Skill' etc. None of them ever mean anything over £5 so it's a bit of a diversion, nothing more.

Top board is identical to SMTM, except that the Pyramid shape (containing the safe cash) has become Policeman's Helmet shaped.

Rubbish game it turned out to be - expect to see this sort of thing wasting space at the ATEI on Tuesday.

You're not normally that pedantic nixxy.

I was going to say its like SMTM but seen as I class FNC, SMTM and say TG as similar m/c's I'd use one example. As opposed to DNA, CCP or X-Rated which are totally different fruit steppa style Reds.

Anyway it wasn't too bad to play, yet I never forced it therefore it could have a massive block for all I know.

I should have put a disclaimer on the post saying I ain't a pro nor do I know Reds like the back of my hand. I did say I wasn't the best at explaining things. (non verbally that is)

Next time I'll keep schtum. :(

That board entry thing is the same as Cash Or Bust. You just made right pigs ear of explaining it!

Never had the pleasure, or displeasure, of playing a Cash or Bust.

Hey - I didn't disagree with anything other than your first point ... purely that this particular machine uses SMTM's profile. In essence, yes the machine is laid out similarly to FNC, but then again every non-fruit step machine ever released by Red is based on that principle - it's purely the playing profile that makes it an SMTM clone for me :)

Likewise Cash or Bust's pre-game gamble and board is akin to that of Vortex - so I'd group those two games together aswell.

Yes it does have the usual huge block and no, don't keep schtum - because it was a pretty accurate description! :)

Okey dokey. :D

Maybe I should have pressed it because it was going up to the £10 mark quite alot, but like I said I was involved in a Vortex and got lucky with a £70 top.

one of these in Bury exactly the same as SMTM except the pre game thing which, imo, is shit. its just an excuse to give you a shitty exchange and a poor nudge setup.
