Theyve started to get rid of the +6% on 50p too now. Maybe they've altered the profile, but had a new vortex here which was 50p with no extra percentage, but gave a full whack £105 off £26. Also had a £35 Jailbirds with no extra go £35/£70/£35/£70 (70% services too! :shock

for about £60 profit yesterday!

I played an SMTM today showing straight off and full so forced.
got the top for about £50 in. It went for a flat £35 next board and about fiver later gave me nudges for £15. Gambled on a three and it gave me a six no bonus so i bottled it and took £25. On any other red I would have done this off and played for the top again, but on this red just happy to get my money back and a little profit.
Another £5 in and got two Pyramid thingys blue for £15 so reasonably pleased with end result.
Maybe top would have gone for £70 but how much would it have cost me and if it only went for another £35 I would have lost out.

SMTM is a very poor red imo, very poor streaks, 99% of the time its £35 £35.... vortex slightly better, easier to get the top.
Not impressed with new reds though, took a few losses on ones you just wouldn't expect to.

must have played over 100 vortex now.. they are no different from any other red really.. sweet profits, and not too much loss even if you hit it after another player

But they have a habit of giving you Mega Streak for £35, play next board, offers Super Streak, then costs another £50 for MS. Frustrating machine. Should collect SS and walk, but you just can't cos if its offering SS, surely its still there for MS.

Thats whats so shit about Vortex after a £35 top if you took it when it was not red then it can offer the SS and be at a harsh £10 block and can just kill your profit

lol jeff, offering superstreak doesn't really tell you much at all on this machine.
agreed black it's a reasonable machine, but I don't find you get big streaks very often - mind you the same can be said for most £35 reds, the only one that goes big quite often is invincible - that can take the piss for a top when it's red tho.

Im finding vortex's quite reasonable but just cant stand SMTM's

Vortex are the ones at the moment .
Smtm , Well lets say just leave them be even when full reading you still got the worst block on a red in history at £10 and the only way to surpass it is play for £10 + from nudges even then it has a tendency to kill you off from safe wins

I quite like vortex now having played it a bit. Anyone seen a lot of new reds cropping up in red bubble cabinets instead of the purpley/black ones you'd expect to see a vortex/smtm in?

They use the pink ones that housed the Maygay Hot Shot as well.
They are recycled cabinets that once housed Doctors & Nurses, Yabba etc.
