That makes it even better! :D

Surely you'll be getting skillshots and tenners? If its a bonus number its going to be a 3/10, so you've got a 50/50 chance of guessing right! Then you know what the number is!

Yep it was redding and offering tenners quite often, but the boards were taking ages to get, and since the reels were out of Line you lose 1st go! And if you dont you lose 2nd!

Kind of impossible to get JP when you cant see your number. Its pretty much impossible when you can..
Higher than a 1 for MS......... 0.......

Hmm, i would have gone for it.

If you get a tenner it's nearly always a 3 or a 10 you start with. If you get gamble one right, then gamble 2 is usually a 3 or a 10 as well. Bet its got one huge streak pot saved up if no-ones forced it out. SA loves £75s, bet this one is gagging!

Do it, or i'll get up to Cumbria and find it! :D

When you go in and get a bonus keep taking the name fill as this completes the name in one go quite a lot of the time thus giving MS. SA loves giving 3's and 10's as matt said so even if the number doesn't say it is most probably one of those numbers, just got to hope you pick the right one!

I think we'd all predict that will go huge when it finally does!! :) Red seem to have a bit of trouble getting wrap-around reels like that to work right. I think almost every one I've played has gone out of sync at least once - they do usually correct themselves, however.

I remember my first £110 off of a Legal Tender - the reel had been buggered for a while on it, and when I got in to the pub, my chum behind the bar said the engineer had just left. £6 in £110 out... ;) ;) ;)

Agreed - Reds with buggered number reels are absolute goldmines.

Legal Tender and Pulsation are better in these cases, as it's only one gamble from the tenner to the top feature.

Invincible and Stack Attack can be tricky, but as said before, it will simply fill the name and get you there that way.

Bling Bling is a good 'un too - it'll eventually put you onto the board with a bonus on BOTH sides, both of which light up the cancel button, and you can fill the name that way and not have to gamble the numbers.

i think that the best option concerning reds with broken reels like this is to bank them and just hope you get an oppertunity to gamble on a 'true' number. i can remember when there was a pulsation at london bridge that had a knackered number reel. it would sometimes give you a genuine number but it could also start slightly skewed and then even if the number was 1 or 12 it would just long spin to a random number and loose. therefore impossible to force. usually if you find a red like this that is reds then it is likley that it will have loads of value that you can bank whilst trying to get your top.

Just out of idle curiosity, has anyone seen a really amusing breakdown or fault in a machine?

fruits 'u sir

a mate of mine was emptying a fruits 'u sir, on which the hi-lo was being completely arsehole-ish. After a few hours, he whacked the machine after yet another board failure, and the hi-lo number reel actually fell off ! That was amusing. I've had a sit-down elvis delay-shatter on me once.. it did that really slow spin moving off the £500, so I gave it a light thump and left it. 5 minutes later there was a 'crkkksshtt' noise, and the screen had spontaneously shattered. "Serves you f**king right" I thought. Uh-huh-huh thank you very much.

There's a 30p £5 Stack Attack in a bowling alley near me, but it's impossible to get on because kids are in there all day playing it along with all the other £5's (even though they should be at school) and keep collecting as soon as they can. When you can get on it, it's always dead (£7 odd for a board and dead first gamble).

Also in there, a £25 Bucket Loads has just been replaced by a £35 DOND Beat the Banker just two weeks after it replaced a £25 Sub Zero.

Strictly speaking i'd say a good fruit machine player should be happy to see this occurance.

I played near a service station in leeds, where every machine was tampred with in some way.

So first machine was a DOND WIYB, with no higher button and non-moving belt reel. Luckily this meant that it was happy to offer the super feature off the reels every fiver or so.

There was also a invincible with the same problem you described, but i didn't fancy it.

Yeah, bust reels are gold mines; invincible seems the most notorious for this. DEF shoulda gone for next feature.
