Worst ever 'down at one point'!

Evening guys,

Been out travelling today. Now i hit MK, St Neots and some main road pubs and was having a great day. In fact i was about £70 up about 90 minutes ago. Anyway, stopped in cambridge services on the way home for a final days play.

Walked onto FNC. £22 off, and all red to start things off. Fantastic - only about £20 odd in to get to the top, which did £25. Still red after this, reforced it and got another £25. I was in halves with a mate, and it was probably about £60 in for £50 back at this point. Got another board after a few more in, which offered red bar steppa, red toggle and £10 cash. Thinking it was still there, we pushed on for another top. In hindsight that's the worst call i've ever made. The reds went, it stopped holding, and ate money like no business. After all of the bank going in, and more from us to equal about ton, it finally went in again. Flat £25, disgusting. Rechased it again....£25 back in along with another £40 odd. Flat £25 once more. £140 odd in now for only £25 back. Rechased it again, and by the time it went up again, we were £210 into it. Shameful and disturbing. This time it did £50. It chucked out red sevens immediately after, which we gambled once and took £25. Still showing, it skill stopped £15 in, which gambled up and did £50 once more. One more board for a crap £5 toggle and that was it.

Roughly £240 in for £130 back. Nearly all my days hard earned profits washed away by a complete pisstake of a machine thats usually so reliable. I'm starting to think it had been tooled or something along those lines, as in £240 of play i think we had less than 10 bonuses, and it wasn't holding at all. No number runners. It just didn't seem right to me. This was on 84% too. Just as well i was in halves and well up beforehand, otherwise i'd feel like topping myself! :x

I know these are rumoured to have a nasty profile, but Christ alive. It's things like that which made me stop going to services.

Similar scenario for me,forced a seemingly ready lab cost £40 for a flat £25 top.Thought re-force is on(big mistake),i was £180 in when it done it's next top(£50),luckily(ish) it went crazy with good afters and managed to claw back £110 in the end.I was on it about 2 hours to lose £70!!.
After this my thoughts on re-forcing has changed a little,if i'm down after a poor top i'll get the most value i can in afters and swallow any loss-seems cheaper in the long run.

Services are ok, extremes tend to be ok for a quick rip, same as panthers + clones.
Reds on the other hand are hit and miss. Some get robbed others just get hammered. You have to be lucky. I have caught loads of reds in services such as Rownhams, Winchester, Fleet etc.

tbh, after it didnt show red again after offering the tenner/red features, you should have known to stop forcing it - sometimes after poor £25 £25 streaks these have a £10 value left, ie. toggle etc. such that they can offer red features - doesnt mean they're anywhere near the top! Legal tender often had a big of value in, and would give Skillstop when finished rolling - luckily u could take hit the top for £20.

Playing round for another top is clearly not gonna roll it, as it had just rolled, hence why it did the flat £25's, you have to play through the whole cycle again to get it back, perhaps a better idea would have been to play for it to red ( although since its just streaked this would be very costly ), so you at least knew it was gonna roll of the jp.

Yeah agree with ob, if the streak value is say £60,
and it does a 50, there is not another force on,
i suppose it depends on what u r in at the time
and the state of the m/c as u went on it.
Its all about judgement i suppose....

I usually just play out features and then make a run for it.

I'd say that reforcing has a slightly better expected value, but far higher variance... so it's not worth it for me, each to their own though.

Maybe i shouldn't have reforced the 3rd time - but there's no way in the world you can expect anything like that to happen. I've reforced form there before and come out ok, but this was insane! :x

lol there's no maybe about it, if its stopped redding you dont reforce; that's asking for trouble mate!!! If you've gotta away with it before then count yourself VERY lucky!

Yeah i only do this on 50p/6% ones though. If they don't streak properly once, sometimes i'll play it through again. In fact i did they very same on an OAR yesterday too that went flat 3 times. 4th time it did £50 followed by £25 and a red quids in for £12. Not had anything this bad since i was a ton down on Take Two (shudder :x )

Matt you must have got the £50 streak from it being redding and then it set itself back to the £10 block which should have being pretty obvious offering red toggle and bar steppa red for the £10.

Have seen the £10 block last £60 before now aswel.

My moto is if its red full steam ahead if its green leave the scene
