It was Aftershock, wasn't it?

Rampage was a successor to Aftershock if memory serves me correctly...
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy

Aftershock, pretty sure of that. They weren't bad at all really.

Heh - yep, def Aftershock, I liked it very much. :)

Stop 'n' Step was 'Force 7' if I recall. In fairness, the new variety of these machines (GADD / CCP) are only tweaks on this original idea.

yep aftershock is basically the same as Xrated/dna/GADD/ccp/LAB apart from the fact the trails were 1-5 with ? on the reels on aftershock and the newer ones are 1-8 trails with a 4 bonus... Other than that the machines are pretty similar...

Although they dont really have the same gameplay to be fair, they dont "red" as such, or have the same streak profile... so in those terms they are quite different..

Yep, that's true - and the reel layout was different on these older ones - up until Quake I think.

Played a Quake recently and had no idea how the reels were for things like NR / Fruit Steps / etc... Although I'm pretty sure Quake had a chunky streak in it now and then... ;)

The aftershock was when you realised you had no pounds left.

What about RED-X? Wasn't that before or a dual release with aftershock?

[url=http://www.redgaming.co.uk/Red%20Gaming ... 20List.pdf]Don't say I never give you anything ]Aftershock beats re-x/rampage by almost a year!

I personally liked aftershock very much. Red x was great too. had to collect the three red-xs for top, but each red exchange you went through gave one AND stepping twice would turn any exchnage point red.
