Couple of things i've noticed on this now .. i took one of the features its the one where you can hi-lo to get a cash amount. anyway i took this feature on a 12 - which spun round to a 5iver after which the reel nudged to a 9 - went lower on the 9 to get killed. either it was a 5 quid block , or just bad programming (allowing the win on a 12),
Had Number Runner slip on the middle reel now twice.. Not sure if its the hold mec's on the buttons or the machine didnt want to allow a decent win..
Anyone else seen this ?

It seems that red gaming are rushing a lot of their modern stuff. There has been a lot of mechanical faults with buttons, LCD, coin slot and the hoppers. You might just have some dodgy buttons but to be fair i too have noticed problems with some of the modern reds.

Agreed! Newer Reds also 'feel' as though they're now being designed by someone else. It may just be that the cabinet changes have affected the design, but they certainly seem more 'plastic' than earlier games.
The time of Top Giza / DNA was a peak indeed for Red. They do seem to be slightly going downhill from there. Not a fan of this 'JP not available from the reels' business either. I'm sure that they'll release some new machines soon which brings this back into play, but until then, I'm sticking to their older machines, with the exception of 50p/£25 OARs...

their newer machines imo are the best, you get +6% for one, and they more often seem ready... especially crazy cash point... I can fully see why people went on about it when it came out - bloody brilliant!

Ah yes, CCP is also an exception - the only snag is, I've only had 2. One went the day after I first played it, and the other is a git to get to!

Agree also about the new bubble cabinets having bucket-like buttons ... I've messed up several Number Runners on FNC when needing to let two reels down at the same time because of sticky or unresponsive buttons. No such problems in the same situation on an Invincible.
The older Genesis cabinets felt more 'controllable' almost - the click of the start button being short and sharp, but the new style cabinets are far from friendly. But I'd imagine the buttons are harder to bust, which I'd guess is probably why they've been made that way.
