To be honest mate, I'm so careful keying any machine nowadays, that I flick the key back'n'forth and fix my eyes on the Alpha, not the rest of the machine.

I think it is just freezing on where ever the attract mode was. Surely your theory isnt hard to test anyway?! key it twice- does it offer the same? collect a win- does this now light up when you key?

Think theoak is right, it is just the point where the animation stops. Easy to check for though.

The key is for refilling not to benefit the player.

If someone has just taken a win e.g £4 and you key it straight after it does light up the £4
Same if you watch it in attract mode
It will pause on £4 eventually on some

Also if they got £5 from toggle it lights up toggle climb on the feature as well when you key

Yes i think not sure but have seen it a few times
Say if someone gets a tenner then collects, you key it the tenner lights up

On Sunday, I managed to get all the features red on a LAB and it went for £75. I was very little in, so I resisted the temptation to see the next board. As it happened, it turned out to be the final credit too.

I collected and was scooping the coins out of the payout tray, and it started to flash in attract mode again, as it does. All ten features were still glowing red while attract mode was flashing around it. It never flashed them green at all, and half an hour later - after I'd played a different machine for a while - I glanced back over.

Attract mode was still showing them all glowing red and, when it snapped out of attract and into 'Insert 20p to Play', it darkened everything to black EXCEPT the 10 red feature lights and made it patently obvious what I'd managed to acheive beforehand.

So I wouldn't be at all surprised if there's some truth in the 'key-it-before-you-touch-it' theory...

if it was your final credit, surely you left a shot at the top for the next credit?

The most common highest win from a Red is £75 in one shot. Have had £110 from the top of a Legal Tender though. Although I'd have to say you'd be pretty damn lucky to get £75+ from the top of any other Red in one go... ;)
