ok so i dont wana moan cos i know we have all been there at some point, but playing Jackpot Gems, 1/3 of the features are red every time i exchange - but waht a mistake to keep on playing. it took £148 (yes you read that right) for it to give a flat £25 top. follwed by a few small wins. then £10 later it went for a £50 with no afters. managed to walk away on £50ish down.

i mean i know we all have bad speels but its terrible for a machine to be able to do that. there has to be soemthing against it. its in my local spoons which is usually a good spot, but i doubt ill ever play a red again. i know they ave theri £20 dull patches, but that was ridiculous.

I play reds every day and never just play them for the top just for the sake of it.

In my opinion 1/3 reds is as bad as 1 red. If i am going to play a red that isn't "red" (i.e. more than half the features are red - and i don't class 6 out of 12 features as enough i'm after 7) i force it by turning it red. Once you've forced it red go for the top.

It sounds like you've forced it without forcing it if u know what i mean so it's given u a flat £25. At this point i'd simply have carried on i.e. not taking small wins but going back for the top. Any red you have put £148 in
HAS to have a fair bit of value in it just by the money u have put in never mind any1 else.

And don't worry - i've been there. I put £160 in a pay cheque to take out £125. It's the only time i've ever been happy to be £35 down on a machine.

agree with alpine here..

forcing a red from that position is pretty risky mate have to say...1/3 reds could also be the end of the streak and not just a build up to it...with a £25 top after that much i would say that may have been the case....

was it offering you the reds at all?

yeah was offering red features practically every exchange. know what u mean about the end of a streak, but had watched a guy play for about 10 mins before to no avail. when you think about it its almost unreal that a machine cannot give out after so much in. i cant think of any other manufacturer that you would have this problem with.

now i might well be talking out of my ass, but...am i correct in thikning that if you suspect a machine is not paying to its percentage, then you can request that an engineer comes and checks it out? i heard this somewhere and wondered if it was true. if i had to go to the £200 mark with no JP i would have been straight up to the bar complaining lol

umm im not to sure on that exactly but you may be right...but i would say there is ZERO chance that a spoons (it was a spoon su said wasnt it?) would ever do sumthing like that and risk breaking the law...

it is def not out of the question for a red to take £200 and not streak, true you should of had at least one jp yes...the worst ive ever been was £190 into a dead sub zero but dropped a 75 which is still a major loss but at least it rolled. :)

you can do your bollocks on most reds if you catch them after a streak, if you cant key em you can soon see the state of play by the way they number ie no tens or threes., nines and fours are favourites if dead. common red sense really

Dont want to pick holes in yours story but you put £148 in to get £25 then £10 later you get £50. So you basically put in about £160 and ended up £50ish down. So at some point after that it must of done another £40-50.
Not a bad streak if you ask me?

It sounds like you got on after a streak but your £148 filled it up again for the next one. Unfortunately leaving you down :(

I'm fairly new 2 the Red Gaming scene but
from my experience is:
Best Reds: LAB & SA
Worst Reds: Invincible, HM (These r the 2 that i've had
major losses on)
Has anybody noticed the next board after a top TEASE...
Throws u a decent red board after a 50 or more top
and ends up costing the most of that back 4 another?
Happens 2 me ALL the time & only ever gives 25 :(

martal you need to realise that the machines DO NOT have to give you more than £50, if it has done a 50 top then the next board just take a good feature if offered and wind it down, chasing the third top is suicide and of course it will only give you £25 thats the cycle it wil go on. if it wants to do a £75+ it will make it rather easy for you and generally wont block a great amount between tops, if it does then id walk

Also if it offers u a red feature u need to realise that it can offer certain red features after a streak as after play but other ones suggest it's still up for it i.e. find the pea, star choice.

Toggle climb is an easy tenner but can be after play. Star choice and Find the pea offered in red and i'd be forcing it all day long.

Not to disagree here but i have seen £50s followed by £75 top and then £25 off notation (red boxes) with after as well. This was on a Stack Attack. To be fair though if you get a £50, play for another board, if the features light up red... force again if only half and half, just have a red feature or a reasonable cash win.

"Toggle climb is an easy tenner but can be after play"

Sorry but this is complete Bollocks.

Toggle climb, is more often than not £5. If it wants to go further it will but most commonly the "toggle" will go Pseudo at the £5 mark.

It isnt an easy tenner at all, an easy fiver yes.
