Slot The Lot

Post by Nixxy »

It's a new Red, and it's a strange beast. It looks like a cross between a HLS and a Grand Slam.

There're no hold buttons, just Hi, Lo and Start - and indeed much of the row of buttons makes you think there's something distinctly Elvis 5-linery about it. But above it is a half-decent game.

25p/50p/£1 stake options; you press start and the object of the reel game is to get three 'rotating arrow' symbols in view. On the 50p stake, you have to get them on the winline. Getting them in gives you a spin on a circular trail - the light will either stop on 'Feature Start', 'Bonus Start', or nothing at all, in which case it's back to the reels. Get into the feature and you're basically playing Hi-Lo Silver with an adapted board.

All other fruits on the reels are much lower values than usual - the highest being red 7s (worth £2) and all wins are added straight to your credit - just like Casino/Elvis 5-liner. Annoying, but not too bad as it gives you the feature far more often than it forces fruit wins on you.

If you get on the board via 'Bonus Start', it randomly lights up the bonuses - sometimes one of them, sometimes all of them - See The Future/Add Cash/Mega Start/Red Alert/Skill Mystery. Usual HLS rules apply.

Once on the feature, it's Hi/Lo up the cash stack in the usual way; exchange points put you on the board which is very similar to HLS but with an extra square or two - eg. you have to spin a 7 to go from one Mystery to the next. The squares are 'Feature Shot', 'Super Shot', 'Multi Add', 'Red Alert', 2x Mystery, Skill Stop and 4x 'Spin Those Reels'. The bonus arrangement is the same - the Horseshoe/Trove is replaced by a gold coin symbol. 3 gold coins = top feature.

Spin Those Reels is basically the Cashpot - the twist being that it spins three more reels right at the top of the m/c - adding amounts into an ever-increasing Cashpot with various combinations of Cherries, red/white/blue 7s, and bars. In reality it usually spins twice with winning lines and then 7-7-Cherry. Multi Add gives extra lives, See The Future, red features .... all same as usual.

The features are up the right hand side and the BB/ToT equivalent is 'Mega Bucks'.

The one I played redded-up after £40-odd in, and went up after £55 in via a 3rd Coin from the bonus. Top did £80 and red-Toggled for afters. Profile-wise, it felt no different to a regular Indy. Quite liked it.

Played that Red a few times - and started a thread on it on here. Pretty much Skulls with a twist - never lost on it yet, profits have been between £10 and £60 though...
