I've often had a theory, that if you lose that gamble from the £25 to the top (or £35 to the top in the case of the newer breed) and the Reds dissapear, it's doing that so that it can take another £30 or so before offering you a bigger top. I know that sounds a bit strange, but it's sort of like; "I've offered you the chance to take JP value, you turned it down, right, the next time I'm going to offer you JP, it'll be 'double JP'."

Can't think of a better way to describe it really... :(

Played a 35 FNC in winchester services last week. Was red from the off and basicallytook the piss still. Put about 70 in for 70 back. I find that if you want the top to do more than 35 you need to hit the 25 or a 10er first for it to carry on.

I now collect £35 from the stack
Then go for the top
Had better results doing this

MattV i agree with the other reds on your theory
What i mean is that on this m/c even if it costs another £40 i have had it do £35 then thats it
You would expect the repeat but a lot of the time it does not

yeh I'll second that, sometimes when they blow to the top and cost a fair whack more, the top is still only a pot.... (although obviously more to come)...

Took a nice ton out of the £35 FNC arcade set one here this aft 8)

First board i managed to get to £5 with a £4 safe as backup, so away i went....up to £10! First time its been there for about 3 weeks. Not red at all, but i pushed it anyway. Got £25 after about £20 in which lost on a 3. Then it redded up nicely, got to £35 soon after which lost on a 10. After a few more crappy boards, and after £55 in it finally went up, and did the full £85. Still semi red after, got a red find the pea for £15, a £10 and £7 toggle, and a £5 hot shot. A good £122 out for about £75 in, not too shabby at all. Pity i had to waste £4 on a brolly as it was teeming down with rain! :x

starting too see what people mean on these when they say redding just vanishes now, played a usually reliable £25 FNC yesterday that was full and ARB2 from the off, after losing on £25 several times and a total of £160 exactly for the first top that goes £50, was still red and recycled £25 of the £50 for another £50 top, so at this point i'm still £85 down, after that it gave me a £25 safe cash, another £25 that i collected because i was on a 6, 10 knockouts for £10, a green toggle for £5, and finally a £20 NR that i collected because i was on another 6.

halfway through this hour and a halfs play i had a spell of mostly green boards that lasted about £40, also when i was about £110 in it bumped me on an 11 for the top which really annoyed me :x :x :x . then too top it all off when i tried too collect my bank at the end it said IOU £19..... it was only a £125 hopper, told the landlady and she paid me out the till straight away [very rare IMO] so bottom line £160 in £144 out. was fairly happy with after it cost so much for the first top. :)

When forcing these and ther clones you should always take the jp off the cash stack first and then hope for a 50 on the top to follow! Or even 75. You will find you will have better results like this.

i have been doing that on the £35's with decent results, on one hand i was gutted too lose £16 on a machine that was flying, but on the other after being so much in and getting such a huge streak too get most of my money back i could'nt really moan, it could have been worse, could'nt believe she paid me the IOU out the till. wish all gaffers did this :)

Just been on £35 FNC that was put in pub near work this morning it was playing well ended up about £40 infront.

Anyways, just noticed when i was playing it that when you get to the top there is no difference on this machine between the £25 version. (i.e. the total amount adds up to £85 or something) is this the same with every £35 or have i just got a duff one ?? OR more likely am I just having a semi drunnken ramble after a few beers at dinner ??

Nope, they can only do £85 max on the top as far as i know. They were made pre £35 i think, so are £25 converts on most of them. I've had the £85 from both £25 and £25 FNCs, so its not bad. I suppose the £85 on £35 ones will be more common seeing as the £35 reds are capable of £105s.
