Aftershock

Post by Mattb »

Was out for the day in Great Yarmouth, and found a completely knackered one of these. Hold buttons in the wrong place, collect button needed massive force to work. I just tried a board, got to £3 cash win the 7 step exchange above. Only £3 in so i hit it expecting death as blues were there. Got to £10, had a step to an 11 which i used, lower to a 3 bonus. Was going to bash it whatever it gave as it was past £10, but it nicely provided a no lose. Went up and did a full £75, IOU'ing £31 from the end. Had to laugh really, one of the cheapest £75s i've ever had off a skanked to hell machine on 70%!

been 2 years since ive been to yarmouth. is the ready to rock still there ?
there were quite a few old machines including flash the cash harry , monty python , KK , BB which was fun to play. they had loads of golden games , and if i remeber correctly they have a prog 3.1 golden game in flamingo in the originl cabinet. a few chuzzys as well.

has it all changed now ?

Wasn't really playing a great deal to be honest. Most of the arcades are stuck in the 90s as you'd expect. Just nicked a couple of pots off some panthers, got lucky on that aftershock, prised in a CADD off £13. Was on the seafront most of the day so didn't see any pub machines or anything new! Caesers still had virtually teh same machines in there as last time i went about 2 years ago (IJ3, reel good time, bellfruits, R2R). Wouldn't advise punting there at all, tripe to be honest!

The golden game in flamingo is £5 JP now i believe, most of the arcades are pretty much the same tho.
