Rock On (new machine)

Post by milk monitor »

Found a new red last night - "Rock On", it has the theme of a pop/rock star/record company thing. It is almost a direct clone of Lifes a Beach, all the features are in the same place although they have different names (easy to recognise FTF, TC, SNS etc). It has no mega spins but the option to play on 50p for double numbers.

Didn't seem particularly ready, but as it was new and in a good location I decided to give it a go. After 15 in the signs were good, after 30 in got first top which went for 50. I thought it's got to have more than that in it as it was 50p and unlike CCP there is no safe cash. Sure enough another 50 top next board. Next board took SNS for red sevens. Next board dies first gamble, tally ho I'm out of here.

This machine seemed to play very well, not at all like that recent LAB chip. However when I keyed it at the start it just said "refill coins" and showed no hopper balance. Given the fact that the hopper balance is a key factor in my decision to force, these could turn out to be high risk in the future. I find that these 50p red don't show obvious signs until they are really due, at this point any punter can skim the value through red features.

Recently most of the reds I play are not blatantly showing and that there is an added element of risk in taking them on (which can be further reduced by checking the balance if not a daily refill), if keying is no longer possible they could become less reliable. When looking for signs alone, It may lead to catching a lot at the end of streak. That said, keying is only one factor in the decision to force, and my overall results on these 50p reds have been very good and so obviously they are a welcomed addition.

Unfortunately not able to post a picture as I only have a basic phone now, ironically I left my camera phone in the payout tray of a fruit machine and it was not insured.

"I thought it's got to have more than that in it as it was 50p"

thats going a bit far tbh, £50 can kill all red streaks whether 50p or not, unless it cost a mamouth amount to get it from it showing

I'd be happy with 50 from 30 on any Red,
50p or not. Reds can sting 4 a board after
a 50 as we've probably all found out!!! :(

I'm not talking profit but the sum total of the streak.

From my experience with these new reds £50 is the absolute minimum streak. CCP does at least this with loads of safes thrown in.

Invincible, On a roll, Rock it, CCP I expect more than a fifty streak from showing and played on increased percentage. It is extremely rare for a Red to do only one pot, so on thirty fives a minimum £70 is almost a given.

I've had loads of 50 rolls on all the new reds lol, although yes it is the minimum, On a Roll I have had more £50 than anything else by far!

Found new £35 one of these the other day, got top after £25 in that went for £35 then about a fiver later went again for £70. Not too keen on the look but can't beat the gameplay. Love these style reds. :D

played one of the these the other day, was £20 light in a ladbrokes, (£35jp), decided as it was on a big %age ( ie 82+6% ) I was gonna go for it, (the fact the DNA across the road wasn't done factored into this decision ) wasnt't redding/going anywhere much on the board, but thought I shouldn't be too badly off on that percentage....

Ooopss..... £90 for a top, £35 ( wasnt even redding so no streak either ) then £20 for the next board ( OUCH! ), got another top after £25 more in ( it wasnt streaking off that 1st top ), another £35, then another £10 for the next board which killed £5-6 on a 2, and wasnt redding so left it.

I'm sure I'll get a lot of good results on these, but it was a bloody awful start!

Yeah that happens :x

I get reeled into ones with big percentages too. There's a 50p/£35 On A Roll popped up near here that's on a base of 82%! 88% with the extra 6%added on!
