The VIP section isn't awash with wall-to-wall emptiers and top secret up-to-the-minute info.

However, it is notable by its lack of insults, put downs and oneupmanship.

[quote="Matt Vinyl"]From my experiences of the 'roll-in' board straight after a top, it 'tends' to be of £25 value. I found this out by a costly few losses though (or at least profit-minimalisations!) mainly on SMTMs. Frequently I had it roll straight back in after a £70/£105 (next credit) to bomb out on the £25. Then each board after has gotten progressively worse - blocking at £15 then £10 then nothing. Then, after about £25 has gone in, a flat top will come in easyish - dead after. Since learn't to take the bonus £25 and leave if this scenario happens.

So, £70/£105, board next credit - take the £25! ]

Sound advice this, I consistently get offered super streak or things of a similar value after JP and pass it up only for the machine to die, especially if you are playing £1 a spin.

This will probably get deleted, but hey, here goes.....

Flashback

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE GAME
Under Construction (Jg edit: Under construction? This is a fruit machine hints site, not the preparations for the Greek Olympics)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE BONUSES
The Single Bonuses (JG edit: ffs, it's bonii, BONII I tell you.)

BIG SHOT A lamp will animate up and down the current column pressing start will stop the lamp. If the lamp was in the feature board you will enter the feature at this point. If not then the trail will be boosted to the point you landed. The lamp has been provided by aaamusements and is now quite tired after moving up and down the column. The lamp would like to go to bed now.

SUPER BOOST Your trail position will be boosted at least into the second level of feature entry. Duh! Wrong! Third level of feature entry. Minimum. I think. Oh wait, maybe it is the second. I nail so many stop 'n steps anyway I'm not cluey enough to ever see a super boost off bonii. It's like seeing that p3 dial give random stoppa after Matt has been on it ALL feckin' day.

BOOST Your trail will be increased by a random amount. Hmm. Random. I'm not sure this is random, in fact I'd say it's rigged, some people may call me bonkers, maybe it's free. Don't ask me.

REDS IN VIEW, well with this powerful telescope I can see a Smash the Cash, an Indiana Jones thing with lots of coloured skulls and Indiana Jones, revenge of the twatty beard. Oh no, that's a Crazy Chair, sorry.

BLUES IN VIEW Any numbers visible in the reel windows of the appropriate colour will be added to your current trail position. The appropriate colour is blue. Yes blue. Sometimes it's yellow. That's variety for you.

RANDOM A lamp will randomly light further up the trail from position 4 hitting the start button will cause your trail to be boosted to that position. Holding down the Cancel button will slow that scatter down allowing you to pick your entry point. Unless of course someone has disconnected the microswitch in the cancel button, then you'll have to find the key located in the freezer section, next to the raspberry ripple and open up the machine and fix it yourself, by which time the feature will have timed out and all the ice cream will have melted which is bad news for everyone.

DOUBLE REDS - doubles the votes for labour in a local election

DOUBLE BLUES Your current trail position will be double awarding feature entry.

REDS AGAIN - Fred's a pain? Not now with special king bonus on Blackjack.

BLUES AGAIN Any numbers on the winline of the correct colour will be added to your current trail position. The incorrect colour is Lib Dem, or is it red, or Fred? You decide.

The Double Bonuses (BONII ffs!)

SUPER HOLD Each of the reels will start stepping up and down one position. You may use the hold buttons to stop the reels and get either any award in view or any numbers. If you stop the reels with no numbers on the winline then you will be awarded the bonus again. (<<whistles>> "WHAT IS THIS?" ** TRUE SKILL ** )

MYSTERY NUDGE You will be given an unlimited number of nudges that will only stop if you complete a trail or achieve and award of hidden features. Holding the cancel button down allows you to nudge backwards (I genuinely never knew that, I wonder if that works on Duff Beer Guide in that shitty kebab place? )

STEPPA You will be offered the chance to step the reels either up or down. The reels will then start stepping in that direction. Any numbers falling on the winline will be added to the appropriate trails. If a win falls on the winline that win will be awarded. The reels will keep stepping until either a win, a complete trail, reel driver board failure, pay unit err 17, stake key err 1 or hidden features are achieved. Holding the hold buttons will stop the corresponding reel from stepping. This can be used to force a win or the hidden features onto the winline. If you hold a reel with a number on it will add that number in for every step. If you hold all three reels any numbers will be added very rapidly, like really fucking rapid. Be warned this cheat is very tricky to use effectively. No it isn't! Don't be silly, it's one of the most virulent, infective cheats known to mankind.

RESPINS The reels will spin off to a new position adding any numbers to your trail or awarding any three of a kind win. Holding the hold buttons will stop the corresponding reel from spinning. If you have enough numbers showing to enter the feature, hold them. If not then it may be worth holding any reels without numbers hoping no more will spin in and offer the bonus again. You will invariably miss a crucial hold onto the £5 jackpot. It happens every time with me. No skill.

WIN SPIN A three of a kind win will be spun in and the feature entered. You can't say fairer than that now can you?

REEL SKILL The three reels step down a position at a time offering the player the chance to stop them in the most beneficial position. Stopping the reels with no numbers on the line will offer another bonus. Yep that's right, what better bonus is there than reel skill though? I love the crunchy noise the reels make as they grind rythmically around.....enough already.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE FEATURES
Money Mania - A series of Cherry wins will be spun ending in a near miss.
NO! NO! NO! A pointless sequence of pissy LED values will light up. Stop them on the combination of sub £1 wins that most appeals to your artistic nature. I like two 20ps either side of a 60p, very swish.

Seven Suprise - You will be awarded Red 7's, Blue 7's or Mixed 7's.
NO! NO! NO! You will be awarded mixed 7s. Same 7s are mega rare.

Stoppa Fruit - A lamp will scatter randomly across the reels. Hitting the Start button will stop the light and match the lit fruit to pay a three of a kind win.

NO! NO! NO! Hitting the start button will award cherries, or maybe boxed cherries.

Super Hold - Allows the player to hold any win in view. This includes Red Bars for Hidden Features. Yep.

Stop 'n' Step - One of the three bottom reels will spin and you will be allowed to stop the reel in the best position you can. The other two reels will then step down to make a three of a kind win. If you stop the reel on a Seven then there is a chance that the win stepped to will be a mixed Seven win. Depends on reel sequencing, first seven that comes down is what you get. Hmmm stop 'n step, the very essence of Flashback.

Graphic Cash - A single lamp will illuminate on the cash ladder and animate rapidly up and down. Use your skill to stop the lamp as high as possible. Wrong! techie detail coming up - there are TWO LAMPS behind each win value on the decals, so it's TWO LAMPS illuminating. Sorry to be a pedal, pedant, whatever.

Pick a Win - A series of wins will be spun onto the winline. When the win that you think will be the highest is spun, press the start button to collect that win. The Red Bars for Hidden Features can sometimes be offered so watch carefully. True, they can be, but only if a cluey has played it.

Cash Shuffle - Four cash values will appear on the alpha and the shrink (shrink?) . The lines representing the values will then be shuffled. Once shuffled you will have to pick which one you want. If you wait for the choose animation to time out it will automatically award the highest value. Life's too short for that though, so just pick the £3 or £3.20 if it's dialling. If you pick the £2.20 it means you have an unnatural sexual obsession with your mother. The shrink said so. Seriously, if the guy who originally wrote this is reading, or girl, to what are you referring when you say the shrink?

Cash Falls - A pattern of lamps will fall down the award card which you must stop. Once stopped you will be awarded 3 shots on each unlit award from the bottom. A hit will climb an award and already lit awards will be automatically climbed to. When all three shots are spent the award at your current level will be given. Ya, said Stin-King Rich.

Number Runner - The reels will step round until there are numbers on the winline these will then be counted up the award column and a chance to step the reels further. If the reels step further they will step to the next numbers and climb again else the current award will be paid. There are some ill (word of today's yoof) set ups with the melon(4) on the middle. Do the old Vinyl shuffle with the right numbers, just like that feature on ROTJ with double numbers and you could be in line for a JACKPOT!

Cash Attack - All three reels line up to Jackpot and the spin off. Using the start button you can skill stop the reels on a win which will then be paid the win. You will the be offered a chance of stepping and paying the next win. This will continue until this chance is failed.
It's a poor man's waltzers (Rollercoaster).

Bank Roll - The first reel will spin and you have to skill stop it. Whatever you stop it on will be offered as a three of a kind win, or you will be offered the chance to spin the next reel. Whatever you stop the third reel on will automatically be matched and paid. If any of the reels has a desirable fruit above the winline then when you choose to spin that reel simply hold the corresponding hold button down first and that reel will step just one symbol. You have three attempts to prove or disprove the Godliness of your skills. This one doesn't cheat.

11th Heaven - The hilo reel will spin off and you will be offered a skill stop on that reel. Upon stopping the reel, a lamp will step up the award card the number of positions corresponding to the number on the reel. If you stop the reel on a twelve the lamp will step off the top of the award card back down to the bottom. Be warned. By holding the cancel button down you may slow the reel to a speed that will be significantly easier to hit. Remember, only babies use the cancel button.

Flashback - You will be offered a skill shot on the first spinning reel. Whatever you stop it on will be offered as a three of a kind win. Alternatively, you will be offered the chance to spin the next reel and try again. The third reel is your final chance.
SO SO SO very wrong. It's an ELIMINATOR UP AND DOWN ACCUMULATIVE WIN SERIES FEATURE OF DOOM. Aim to make the light stop on lit wins, these accumulate, stop on a given win AND YOU DIE. It's that simple.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HIDDEN FEATURES
On the reels you will notice that certain symbols have a horizontal Red Bar running behind them. If you manage to get three Red Bars on the winline you will be awarded Hidden Features.

QUICK TIP: There is only ONE red bar on each reel. BELL, BLUE 7, MELON.

It is possible to get Red Bars from a couple of features but mainly from manual nudges (not automatic) and reel-blasts.

Lucky Ladders - All four columns will animate rapidly up and down. Pressing the start button will stop them and allow you to chose which column you wish to collect. If you stop the reel-blasts above 6 then you will guarantee the opportunity of re-entering the hidden feature picking stage. Didn't Les Dennis used to present this?

Nudge Timer - You will be given 10 seconds to nudge the reels to achieve the highest win. The speed of the reels will give you about 38 nudges, normally enough to achieve Jackpot. Be warned though if you nudge in a lower win first, that will be paid and the feature will end. If you leave the reels where they are for the 10 seconds you will guarantee the opportunity of re-entering the hidden feature picking stage.
Only a hardcore jackpot repeater enthusiast would feel the need to do this instead of just nudging jackpot.

Mega Blasts - Very similar to Reel-Blasts, this feature offers you a reel-blast which will pay to the bank. It will then offer you the chance to get the other still lit fruits on the reels until all have been paid or the repeat chance failed.
It's a rather tired win series.

Strike a Light - A lamp will animate back and forth across the buttons. Every time you successfully hit a lit button the award will climb. The closer to the top the less buttons will light and the faster it will go. Holding the collect feature button down will slow the animation enough to achieve Jackpot + Repeat Chance.
Very Spin on it. Classic Impulse - can you get the two lights flicking side to side for the jackpot repeater?
Simon Says - A pattern of 11 steps will be flashed and written on the alpha. This pattern will then disappear and you must reproduce that pattern on the hold button. For every one correct the award will climb. You may press the cancel button once to remind you of the remaining pattern. WOW! Another thing I didn't know, pressing cancel will do that. Did that work on Pathway to Riches on Indy JPM? and there was that similar thing on Gridrunner Repeater. Why didn't Smedley do a pack with all these hints 'n tips in? Was he dead by then?

HI-LO Cash - The cherry award will be paid to the bank and you will then have to hi-lo up the awards, each successful gamble paying the next award to the bank. £4 if dead (semi-rip lines, ie a S'nS that is only just £5 ready on £5 jp version), maybe more if ahead.

Crossfire - A cross-hair will animate over the top glass which when stopped will give the item highlighted. If you stop on the reel-blasts above 6 then you will guarantee the opportunity of re-entering the hidden feature picking stage. Indeed young man!

yep, check, already do that. My usual trick is to accidentally catch ALT+something else, whilst typing, with my fat fingers and the whole thing vanishes.
