ok i have a 500 b3 random spinner , have had words with alex n lugsy (cheers :P ) who are of the opinion that in order to reduce the % i would first have to convert it back to a section 16 .

right now its ridiculess , took me over 8 hours to lose 500 in it .

prob running on 98% or something stupid . and prob why i got it off ebay for only 300 quid? it was prob costing them more to keep it ffs lol.

any help with lowering it or converting it back apreciated ta?

i have a mem card &2 chips.

mate, i did'nt say you could reduce the percentage ,i said you could change the 'aiming' percentage via different stakes on s16 ,94 on 2pound to probably 90 on 50p or lower. aiming % is all tosh on randoms though .as far as i know it is only defined by the ammount of winning and losing spins in the r.n.g, so these machines will rarely keep to it for any length of time ,the swings are massive and can last ages, and the average may never even be maintained for long in the machines lifetime.
on the bright side ,dependly on what way you're looking at it these large swings and the unpredictable nature could keep you amused longer.

if you want a 500'er you can change percentage on you need to get a compensated b3.

soz m8 misunderstood.
ive never played any 500s out in the wild (the odd twentysnifs) and dont pretend to know owt about em , how they work etc .

i see what you say about massive shifts though, put 400 through earlier without a win over 25quid . lol

Likewise to be honest, and too modern for me to have worked on.
For some reason I had in my mind that this was a compensated one but of course not...
When you imagine how much these things take out in the wild it makes you think how long they could stay "happy" in domestic play... you will have to absolutely cane it before anyone comes round!
That said, I still feel that there must be some way to make these a bit less generous... Any current industry people have any insight?

400 without a win over 25 quid is cooool, wait till you decide to let your mates play it and they get back to back winstreaks or whatever it's called for 250 + 250 and half dozen lots of suits for 85 quid each within a couple of score of credits.

that sd card you got is probabababably the s16 critical update for the 2 pound collect simultaneous start skank. i still asssssume the other 2 chips are the s16 prog though mate, you need these fitted, it plays better (if that's the correct terminology).

Yep that's got to be the best way, roll back to section 16. Everyone I have ever spoken to says they were more fun back then.

random spinner is actually compensated on the b3 version. The blurb is somewhere on the top glass if you care to look.

Not that it means you can gamble it out or nothing, long since found out the red/black gamble is pretty random and certainly not very progressive anyhow.

On compensated ones I imagine they take say £50000 as a cycle to meet the percentage, some sickly high figure anyhow.

Every random spinner b3 I have seen is on 93% too, wierd.

fair one ob .i'd assumed it was random being as it is called 'random spinner' and was early b3 ,but still doubt the percentage can be lowered significantly by hook or crook, and with a cycle of 50 k ish, tis as good as random anyways

i still reckon you should put the old chips back in though lee ,it's deffo a better game on 2pound stake ,end of.
