Hi all, im having a problem with my mech on my fruit, it sometimes wont register an inserted coin as credits, its accepting the coins but not clocking as cred, ive tried removing the wire connecter and refitting, it works for a while then plays up again. Theres no errors showing on screen, anyone got any ideas? cheers. :|

Unplug the connector (turn off machine 1st!) and check the crimps in the connector,
see if any of the crimps are 'flat', look down the holes.
just because the wire is in the connector doesn't mean it's making good contact with the pin on the coin mech.

I'm assuming it using the large parallel connector here.

cheers m8, ive had a look, but the crimps seem to be ok, ive fitted it back in and it seems ok now, the only thing i changed was the bulb in the mech and this started happening so ive took the bulb out so hopefully it will be ok now (the bulb was of the correct rating)

hi all, ive tried everything on my machine to rectify this problem, ie resetting the ram, cleaning the mech, making sure all the connecters are sitting properly but to no avail. as i said the mech is accepting the coins and sorting them correctly but theyre just not registering as credit, can anyone shed any more light on this its a "mars ms 111/ b1 type with a sorter at the bottom. all the door switches are working correctly.

It could be the Mars mech has a program fault, try replacing the mech to eliminate it.

hi again, ive had a look around the net and have seen some 2nd hand mechs on ebay, but theyre of a different model number, the one thats on my machine is a mars ms111/b1, now i have seen one on there that looks very simlar, but of a different model number (its called a cashflow of some sort). will this make any difference? my mech has a 13 pin connector, or will only a ms111/b1 type work?

Found one, MS111 with an MS 125 3 way separator.
No idea now where it came from or if it works.
It does have a Eurocoin New 10p upgrade sticker on it though.
