Vivid Card Shark

Post by mentalmickey »

Hello there

I am new to this so am hoping for some help, I have just brought the card shark by vivid fruit machine mainly to use it as a money box and also to have fun with, but there is no instruction manual to it.

So i am just hoping for some help in changing things around, like the pay out... i know you can set it higher or lower but dont have a clue how... also i understand you can change it from 25p a go to 30p as well... but again i have no clue how and also things like how would i empty the hopper if say i wanted to?

Sorry if i do sound thick, but i really do not know much about these.

Thanks and take care

Welcome in mate. Not a bad old machine!

Firstly let's deal with the payout. This is worked out by what is called a 'payout percentage'. This is adjustable using what we is known as a percentage key. It will be inside the machine at the back and will more than likely be red. It will be a little blockthat can be pushed on/off and secured by two screws. To change the payout, you will need to change the key. This is unless it is an adjustable key (if it is, it will have switches on it) and in which case, let me know and I will tell you what to do...

Changing the price of play (i.e. 25p - 30p...) This is changed by using what we call a stake / prize key. This means that there will be a key (just like the percentage key described above). This will make the machine for example, 25p Play/£25 Jackpot, OR 30p Play/£35 Jackpot etc... To change the stake (Price of Play) or Prize (Jackpot), you will need to change the key. Again, if it is an adjustable key (with switches on it), let me know and I will tell you what to do...

Don't forget though, if you are ging to change the jackpot seting, you will need to change the decals on the front of the machine (i.e. the trail etc)

Emptying the hopper.... You can put the machine into test mode to do this, there will be a switch inside, also you could use a refil key and dump the hopper by pressing the switch near tot he cash boxes...

Hope this helps, anything else, stewycampbell@sky.com
