button bulb

hia just wondering if some one knows how i can remove the back off one of the buttons on my machine, the thread screw comes undone but i can't get it past the switch on the button, any help appreciated.

if it is a fairly new type of button it could be a bayonet type fitting or like most machines it can be pulled out,just grab the switch and the white holder and then toggle side to side and pull at the same time and it should come away,and to put it back,just push it in till it clicks,

Indeed. It's unlikely that anything actually requires unscrewing! :shock:

A mate of mine asked me this yesterday, as aa says, it shouldn't require unscrewing, just simply grip the connector and wiggle side to side until the fitting comes free.

Then just change the bulbs and replace the fitting...

good stuff. It's a pet hate of mine having any bulbs out. Just makes m/c's look badly maintained. Obviously depending on where it is can affect gameplay.

Some of them are awkward Ba*****s...

Oh yes, on the old back openers the button bulbs were a complete pain and involved the loss of some skin every time...
Maygay M1 for instance... :x
