On / Off Alarm 48

Hi There
Im Having a problem with on / off alarm 48, alarm comes on so as you turn machine on, then machine fault clears, allright for a little bit, and then the alarm comes back again, is it PSU or Mpu fault (Scorpion 4).

If it alarms with that error during play then it could be either.
Battery damage to board affecting the reset circuit?
Or PSU voltages keep dropping out.

as aa said if it just occurs on start up only then just turn the alarm off think its dil switch 14 but will have to check!!

And if it only alarms on start up it just needs the battery changing with any luck.

alarm would not clear, changed mpu, workes fine now, there was damage on the board where the battery sits

Thought as much. Common problem.
No idea why so many manus put the reset circuit right next to the battery...

Always best to meter out the 5volts on a scorp 4 as they drop under load causing the 4.8 on/off alarm, if you have a sankan psu then there is a resister upgrade that can be fitted, if you have the stadium psu then just up the 5v on the pot in the psu and meter out till you get about 5.5v, that will cover all scorp 4 machines then without anymore alarms.
