Party Time

Hi There

I was changing a start lamp on this machine, when machine went dead except the belly lamp stayed on, then I noticed smoke coming from the left hand side of the Mpu.

Any help with this would be great .ie what may of caused this.

Mpu is An I/O3 dont know what kind of power supply it is?

the belly glass is a flo tube and doesn't connect to he mpu,what is the machine,is the mpu integrated and where is the smoke coming from?

The machine is an astra Party Time with integrated IO/3 board, the smoke come from the left hand side of board. strange thing is now the machine is working fine, this I dont understand, had to burn something on the board?

Have you checked the board for any signs of damage?There is not a great amount to cause burning on that side of the board,even less just by changing a lamp.Having said that though, the battery is situated on that side of the board and above the Eprom socket(well thought out design)

,check it for any leakage as that may account for it.
