1. Does it work in test ?
2. Do you see a 'note test' in the test routines?
3. or do you see 'BNV code' in test?

If no. 2 is not there but 3 is you will have to enter the BNV code into the machine, written on the acceptor.

hi mate----if the code is not 123456 try it but when you type it in make sure you press accept code button or it will not store it and the wrong code will be in and the machine will not reconise it

Not all acceptors are 123456, some are different but the label should be on the mech itself.

The machine will change the code at most boot times leading to BNV no response when you input the code
To get round this you have to reset the code on the BNV back to its original

Turn machine off, take out BNV and find the dill switches on it, set switch 6 to the on position and power up the machine.
Wait at least 15 seconds then set sw6 to off
enter test routines then enter the BNV code - should now report success, reboot machine and it should now work in test and games (if floated)

If it keeps losing the bnv it a sign that the battery is fucked on the main board.
