Memory on popeye machine

Hi all. As some of you may know I bought a scrapped popeye machine that I refurbed and managed to get working again. My fixed popeye awp has been up and running for about 4 months now but Im not sure if the memory is retaining when its powered off, I have left a credit on the machine and powered off for a few days and the credit is gone when switched back on, also pappys island cashpot alwas resets to 0 when powered off. Does anyone know if this is normal or should them machine retain this info. As far as I'm aware it had a new battery fitted when the board went away for repair.
