Can you tell me how to check the % payout on a Electrocoin Casino Bar X

There are no readings or test to show the % on Bar x,unless it's had a game kit fitted where some can check %.
The only way to check yours is with the machines meters, take the cash in reading and the cash out reading,then divide the cash out reading by the cash in reading then times 100 to give %

EG:-
138950 cash out
=========== X 100 = 86.96% payout
159780 cash in

% payout is not working right on this machine,

what checks can I do? to find fault with % payout

What's it doing?
Over or under paying?

Electrocoins will run at a high % payout if the battery on the board is either flat or disconnected, check because if due to a faulty battery and the machine is running at high % there is no alarm or error code to inform you of this.
If it's a dedicated Electrocoin game the % adjustment is made on the dip switches (8 small white switches on a blue base mounting) on the on the machines main board.
Switches 1&2 are for price of play.
Switches 3,4&5 are for % settings.
Switches 6&7 are for prize structure.
Switch 8 is for bank wins or direct payout.
If the problem is not the battery what positions are the dip switches [on or off from 1 to 8] set on your board?

taliking about electrocins if you put your key in and press the first hold it will show you the % setting of the machine , can be useful if u think the machine is a dodgy %. nobles were nortorius for this .

by the way on the bar x7's etc when the machine starts to alarm and the display shows EE u switc it on off then its ok but the alarms becomes more frequent , then it will do it every credit, i was told this is where the memory is full and the machine has to be resetted . is this true ?

The Bar x key % option may be on a kit version. The "Chuzzy" kit will show the set % in the credit display when the machine is in attract mode without using a key.
The EE is RAM corruption but usually manifests as FF,It will need a RAM clear,Electrocoins operating CPU is a Z80,and now old tech.
A lot of RAM faults are due to the IC just loose in it's socket,Or other outside interference such as sparking,with loose fitted ICs even inserting coins or payouts would cause the machine to alarm and lock up.

i wasnt on about the chuzzy , i was referring to a normal electrocoin to check % setting . next time u in nobles in durham try it.

Yes that is right for the set % of the machine,but correct me if wrong the question was how to check the % payout as there is no way to check the machines actual running % apart from the meters,I meant those kits may have a % payout option as well as setting.
Talking of which there has been no answer if any of this has helped.

I have worked on electroccoin machines for about 15 years and machine doctor is right,you can't check the running % unless you have access to the cash in and cash out meters and work it out.
