Fruit Machine Chat

i have a barcrest mpu 5 big chesse that will not boot i have replaced the psu mpu and game card also the mux board and fault is still there it just want boot. The 4 leds of the mpu are all lit but the 5 flashes 5 times green then twice red and this is all i get can any one please help

Class 2 Alarms
These are caused by hardware faults on the MPU5 board. Most alarms of this class are generated during power up self-test.

2x red 5 x green is a display error

double check all wiring is correct etc

Hi ya, this sound like a boot chip problem, most barcrest machines a very reliable and this fault only really happens if the game card becomes loose or the boot chip ( pic chip ) is the wrong version, you say you swapped over your mpu and gamecard, did you change the eproms yourself and if so did you make sure there were the right way around if not you may have fried them too.
