Empire 'Bank Raid' dip switch settings

Post by fallwood »

Hi all, just bought this one the other day, it seems to work fine but there is no manual or settings sheet with the machine. Ive got all the decals and want to set it on 10p play £8 jackpot 76% payout. Managed to get 10p play £5 jackpot 74% but it took about an hour trying different switch combinations :? .

Does anyone know what the dip switch settings are to change the stake/jackpot on this machine.

Also does anyone know how to check the tube levels etc, the menu I got into using the refil key just shows a list of numbers with values and the other menu I found (by pressing a switch inside machine) just goes into the test menu.

Is it possible to just put £30 in the tubes then tell the machine its full (like I do with my flashback) so the money falls into the cashbox rather than the tubes.

Cheers. :D

You could Try these settings from a guide sheet I have from Empire about the time of your machine.Take note of where the switch positions started first,so you can put them back if they don't work.
Switch bank 1
switches 1-4 for % settings. 1&2 =on 3&4=off to give 76% payout
switches 5&6 for price of play 5=on 6=off for 10p play
switch 7=off for £8 on=£5
switch 8=off
You wont be able to tell the machine when its full, only when the tubes fill up will the cash overflow to cashbox.

The decal I have has £8 token and £8 cash payout. Would it be possible for you to let me have all the settings on the sheet.

Cheers.

Thats the only options available on empires guide sheet,is software of £5 cash or £8 tokens. No £8 all cash settings available.
After that the next game version is £10 cash but will require the game program(Eprom) change,The £10 version does not support any lower jackpot value settings though.

Ahhh right, I might run it on tokens as well then. I have a load of old electric meter tokens that I used to use on my premises, they are brass with a line through the middle (same as some jet washes used to use at garages), are these the same type. ??.

If they are the 20p size they will probably work,In their mass produced days the brass 20p size tokens were all the same and most machines would accept them,so to stop arcades and pubs getting everyone elses tokens in their machines, different groove configurations were cut into the tokens and supplied to operators with those nasty red/orange button grills players had to feed them through.

Just tried them and they dont work, would there be a seperate coin mech for tokens as mine only has 1 in it, it does have a loop wired plug that says coins/tokens underneath it, it appears that it can be moved 1 peg left or right to select, just have to get hold of some tokens from somewhere.

Whilst I've got your ear, I've found a menu thats accessed by turning the refill key whilst a door is open, it appears to be some kind of bookeeping info but i cant figure it out , numbers range from 00 to 81 and all have different values, I would ideally like to find the percentage info so I can make sure the machine is running right.

Thanks.
