Just bought Barcrest Son of Dracula bulbs behaving strangely

Hi, I just bought Son of Dracula from ebay to play at home 25p £25.
All seems to work fine apart from the bulbs behave strangely, they all seem to light up but in cases where you would expect them to stay on, they fade in and out so sometimes means waiting to see where you are on board or what cash feature on etc. I cant see that this is normal and although its playable I just wondered if there is a way of correcting it. Any help would be much appreciated, Rich.
