homers meltdown gone mad

Post by duomat »

Hi guys,i have owned this machine for 3 months and after fixing it has worked spot on,however when plugged in today it spay out 4 coins and set up as normal.I thought it was odd but passed it off.Played it for about 30 mins no probs then i got jackpot,it went through the motions fine and put £25 in bank.On pressing collect button the lights went out and it alarmed.Display said pay £25 so i opened the door and checked the hopper to see if it was jammed, now when plugged in it wont fire up and the hopper runs non stop.It has the money to payout and its never played up before,so im confused and hoping someone on here knows the problem, thankyou

i would say replace the hopper..

could be a dirty opto and the machine is trying to pay out a coin, but usually the machine would alarm after a few seconds..

you must only have the machine on freeplay then as if the hopper is running thinking its on a dump or pay out, then it wouldnt accept coins to play. if this is the case then yes get another hopper and try it

Thanks for replies, ive sorted it,the problem was a faulty hopper control board.I happened to have a spare lying around. It actually cooked one of the surface mount chips.Anyway, working now, just hope i dont jackpot again.
