rob da bank

Post by kinglizard69 »

Hi, just bought a rob da bank barcrest machine, however it only takes about 1 in every 10 £ coins, i've found that it takes the same £1 coins over again but it wont take most of them, they just get stuck in the mech, is this an easy fix?

Just pull the flap part back and clean it. If unsure, press the coin reject and you will see said flap open slightly. Pull back as far as it will go and wipe. I just use a duster. If really dirty i'll use some polish too lol.

hi, tried removing the mech & cleaning it but it was still the same. However I noticed a small stainless steel clip/spring that had come away slightly, after stripping the mech I could see that the adhesive had failed, I cleaned the old adhesive off & re-applied & hey presto, it works!
Many thanks for the advice :)

you have a marrs sytle mech.

that happens all the time with them, when the glue comes loose the foil traps the coins.

i used to take em off altoghether, mech stil works without them.. :)
