Casino Bar X Reel R1 Fault

Hi All,
Recently bought a Casino Bar X which had a faulty Reel 1. In fact, all the wires had been pulled out and in wrong place.
Got a manual from electrocoin and matched up all the wires on the reels and on the main board connectors and they are all fine.
But reel 1 still did not work. When I switch the connectors i.e. put reel 2 connector on reel 1, it works fine, so I know the actual reels/motors/sensors etc are fine. Also means the voltage must be fine as the other reels would not be working.
After a lot of trial and error, I figured that if I move the "COMMON" wire from Reel 2 and put it in Reel 1 it starts to show some movement, but jams up.
Then I figured that if I put the PHASE 3 wire into reel 1 as well as the COMMON from Reel 2, it spins perfectly for a few spins. So I split the wires so it went into both reels.
But then I noticed after a few spins, it jams up again and then later unfreezes (repeating cycle) and I'm guessing that its because them wires aren't meant to be there.
So I grabbed a multimeter and measured the original COMMON wire from REEL 1 and noticed there is no voltage at all. I assumed both wires were dead, so soldered new wires onto the board but there is still no voltage. I then tested the wires individually with a battery so I know the wires are fine, they just won't work on the board.
So I'm guessing that the connector CN2 is faulty, or the main board?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Regards,
Mike.
